Hello my friends! You are receiving this extra post from me today because I have joined a Blog Hop that my friend Angie McKenzie organized. If you click on all of the participating links at the bottom you will see lots of amazing ideas.
I decided to do a slimline card because I wanted to use all three images in the stamp set and it would have been too tight on a regular A2 card. I stamped the three pull toy images (giraffe, elephant and lion) onto some Shimmery White cardstock using Black Staz On ink. I cut them out individually using a stitched circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies set. I coloured the images using my watercolour pencils and a Blender pen. I matted the finished images onto a scalloped circle that I cut from Blushing Bride cardstock using the Layering Circles Dies set.
I used the heart stamp from the set to randomly stamp all over a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Blushing Bride ink. I matted this piece onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock. I then wrapped a piece of Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon around these two pieces and secured it at the back. I attached the pull toy images on top of this using dimensionals. I was hoping it would look like the toys were sitting on top of the ribbon. I then added this to a Whisper White Thick card base using dimensionals.
I also used the Blushing Bride Metallic ribbon to tie a small bow which I attached to the card front using glue dots.
I stamped the sentiment using Black Staz On ink on a scrap of Shimmery White cardstock. I cut this out by using a die from the Ornate Frames Dies set. I cut the outer mat using the die on some Basic Gray cardstock. I set the die over top of the sentiment and traced the inside of the die using a pencil. I then used my paper snips to cut it out. I layered this on top of the Basic Gray piece and attached it to the card front using dimensionals.
What I used for today's card:
Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon
Whisper White Cardstock (no longer available)
Whisper White Thick Cardstock (no longer available)
Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my card and will check out the other posts. Just click on the Next blog link below and you will be able to see the other posts.
