Inspiring Iris

Hello my friends! Today's card was made for the gal that runs the Kitten Rescue that I sent a card to a few weeks ago. She was so happy with the card I sent her that she asked me to make some cards for her Mom. This was a Mother's Day card that I made for her.

I started with a Blushing Bride card base. On top of that I added a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock that I embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder.

I stamped the carnation outline on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I stamped this image three times. I then added the second part of the stamp to fill in the flower top and the stem. I stamped the flower tops using Blushing Bride ink and the stems using Soft Sea Foam ink. Once the images were dry, I cut it out using the Ornate Layers dies. I wrapped a piece of Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon around this piece and secured it at the back using scotch tape. I then attached this piece to my card front using dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set on to a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I cut this piece out using a die from the Hippo & Friends dies set. I attached this to the card front on top of the ribbon using dimensionals.

To finish off the card, I added two of the pale pink pearls from the Pastel Pearls to the top right corner of the Basic White piece.

What I used for today's card:

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I am so happy to be sending it away and hope that this gal really likes it for her Mom. It was kind of a challenge because I have never met this gal or her Mom. I went with something that makes me happy and hope it works for them.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
