Hello my friends! Today I am sharing some of the new In Colours on my card. I had a retirement card to make for a friend so I decided to use a couple new colours.
I started with a Fresh Freesia card base. This is one of the new In Colours that I am using today. On top of that I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my image using Jet Black Staz On ink. The image of the lady is from the Senior Years stamp set. I used the Watercolour Pencils to colour it in and then used a Blender Pen to blend all of the colour together. I used Basic Gray, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Real Red and Early Espresso watercolour pencils. I cut this image out using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I then matted it using the next size up die and Fresh Freesia cardstock. I added this to my card front using dimensionals.
I stamped my sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I matted this using a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock that I cut using another die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies set. I added this to my card front using dimensionals.
The friend that will be receiving this card is also a card maker and scrapbooker. I had to make a small card for the lady on the card to hold. I used the envelope die from the Snail Dies and made the envelope from Polished Pink cardstock. This is another of the new In Colours.
I made a tiny card to go inside of the envelope using Basic White cardstock and some more Polished Pink cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on this card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. I stamped the little heart using Polished Pink ink and the stamp is from the Snailed It stamp set.
What I used for today's card:
Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
Polished Pink Classic Stampin' Pad (Available May 4th)
Polished Pink Cardstock (Available May 4th)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (Available May 4th)
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I think my friend will like it, especially with the little card. Now that she is retired from her other job, she will have much more time to make cards and be creative. I know that will make her happy. Have you been creative lately?
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
