Hello my friends! I needed to make one more card using the To a Wild Rose stamp set before it retires. It is such a beautiful set that I needed to ink it up one more time. This set is available for purchase until May 3rd.
This card was based on one that I made with my stamp group the last time we were able to meet up together in person over a year ago. I started with a Petal Pink card base. On top of that I added a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in the lower right hand corner using Basic Gray ink. The sentiment is from the To a Wild Rose stamp set.
On the left side of my card, I added a strip of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the retiring Lace 3D embossing folder. Before I embossed the cardstock, I inked up one side of the embossing folder using my Petal Pink ink pad. I love how this looks! The ink went into the debossed parts and the embossed parts remained white. You could also get the opposite look by simply adding the ink to the other side of the embossing folder. I matted this strip with a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and adhered it to the left side of my card front.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped my rose and leaves. This is a two step stamp set. I first stamped the outline of the rose using Smoky Slate ink. Then I stamped the solid part of the stamp using Petal Pink ink. Finally, I added the final layer of the rose using Blushing Bride ink. I stamped the outlines of the leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink and then added the second layer using Granny Apple Green ink.
I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut out my image. I then matted this with another piece of Petal Pink cardstock. I wrapped some white Baker's twine around this piece three times and then tied it into a bow. The white Baker's twine is from the Snail Mail Twine combo pack. I added this card piece to the right hand side of my card using dimensionals.
What I used for today's card:
Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad
Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad
Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad
Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin' Pad
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I will be giving it to a friend of mine that could use some love right about now. I will be seeing her today so I hope she likes this little hello from me. Do you know someone who could use some happy mail? I encourage you to make a card and send it. We all probably make cards but neglect to send them. They can't spread the love if they are sitting in a box in your craft room.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
I don't have the stamps or embossing folder you used, so substituted. Quick and easy when you make up your mind what to use! Love the card!
