Hello my friends!
Wow, what a full weekend it was for me! A few months ago, I signed up to participate in another Business Expo and Creative Party with Allison Okamitsu on Saturday. It is a full day of learning business tips, creating cards and card challenges. Unfortunately I was only able to take part in half of the day as my daughter chose that day to have her gender reveal party. Obviously that took precedent over my learning. I can watch the replay of the presentations I missed. I spent most of Sunday in my craft room prepping for my upcoming Crafting at the Lake Event. That is going to be such a fun day!
Anyways, on to today's post. During the expo we created three cards that were all designed by Allison. We used the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle for all of the cards. This is such a cute bundle. I am looking forward to playing with it some more! The cards Allison designed all use non-traditional pumpkin colours and I love them!
Card #1:
The first card is a simple fun fold. The card base is Crumb Cake and the front panel is smaller than a regular A2 card front. I stamped one of the pumpkin images on the Crumb Cake card base using Crumb Cake ink. I cut out one of the fancy pumpkins using a die from the bundle and Gold Foil Sheets. I added this to the front panel using dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I added a strip of DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP package to the bottom edge of the sentiment piece. I then cut out the leaves using the dies in the bundle and Soft Succulent cardstock. I attached two of the leaves to peek out at the top left of the sentiment piece and one at the bottom right. I then added the sentiment to the card front using dimensionals. I added a bow using a double strand of Linen Thread to the stem of the gold pumpkin using a glue dot.
On the inside of the card, I added a strip of cork specialty paper and another strip of DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP package. These two pieces are seen even when the card is closed.
Card #2:
The second card uses a Misty Moonlight card base. On top of that I put a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
I cut out the same pumpkin as was on the first card only this time I used Bumblebee cardstock. I stamped the leafy pumpkin using Soft Succulent ink on Soft Succulent cardstock. I cut it out using the corresponding die from the bundle. I also cut out the fillagree pumpkin using Misty Moonlight cardstock with an adhesive sheet attached to the back of it. The adhesive sheets make these intricate die cut images so much easier to adhere. I cut out the leaves from Gold Foil Sheets and attached one to each of the pumpkins. I attached the fancy pumpkins directly to the card front and then added the stamped pumpkin using dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I added a strip of Gold Foil and then a strip of DSP (from the Harvest Meadow DSP package) to the bottom edge of the sentiment piece. I then added this to my card front using dimensionals.
Card #3:
The third card uses a Bumblebee card base. On top of that I added a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I added a strip of DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP package to the bottom edge of the Crumb Cake cardstock.
I added the fillagree pumpkin that I cut out using Bumblebee cardstock with an adhesive sheet attached to it. I stamped the larger leaf images using Soft Succulent ink on Soft Succulent cardstock and cut them out using the corresponding dies. I attached the leaf images together and attached them to the fillagree pumpkin using dimensionals. I tied a bow using the Gold Shimmer Ribbon and attached it to the stem of the pumpkin using a glue dot.
I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White label that was punched out using the Label Me Lovely punch. I attached this sentiment piece to the card front using dimensionals.
That completes the three cards. I hope you enjoy them.
What I used for these cards:
Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Pad
Soft Succulent Classic Stampin' Pad
Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed these cards. I had a lot of fun making them. Please note that they were all designed by Allison Okamitsu and I just made them as per the instructions from her.
Also, in case you were wondering what the reveal was on Saturday....we are getting a new baby granddaughter!! We are all so very excited. I can't believe that my baby girl is having a baby girl. At least I can start shopping now that I know what colour to buy.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
