On Stage at Home

Hello friends! This past weekend was On Stage at Home. We had our virtual "convention" rather than getting together in person this year. It has been two years since we have been able to have in person conventions and the last one was in Las Vegas. That was so much fun! This weekend was lots of fun too and we didn't have to travel anywhere. I'm not a fan of airplanes so if I don't have to get on one, I'm much happier.

We received a box of goodies the week before the event and were able to order a bundle that will be in the new January to June catalogue.  Demonstrators that did not take part in On Stage are not able to order this bundle yet. That bundle is called Blessings of Home and it is gorgeous. We used it to make the cards we made during the event. Here is a picture of me with my box of goodies and then a close up of the goodies before I opened everything up. I love that bag and the notebook with the coils on the top corner is brilliant!

We also received a PDF copy of the new January to June 2022 catalogue and the new Sale-a-bration catalogue. Of course, I am not allowed to share that with you. We are able to order some of the items in these catalogues, again even before other demonstrators that did not take part in On Stage. It is just one more little perk for going. If it was an in person event, we would have received a paper copy of the catalogues but this is the next best thing. There are lots of incredible things in the new catalogue and I can't wait to play with the things I have. Not only were we able to order new things ahead of everyone else, it is fun to be with our friends to stamp and see the presentations. We visited over Zoom on Thursday evening to watch the opening ceremony and see the achievements that our fellow demonstrators earned. I was fortunate to earn three badges again this past year. Huge thanks to my friends, customers and team for allowing me to earn recognition in Team Building, Leadership and Sales. I could not have done this without all of you so thank you again!

Here are the cards we made on the weekend. They were designed by Shannon West, a Stampin' Up! employee and demonstrator. I did pretty much exactly what she suggested. I only made a few tiny changes. Again, all three cards were made using the Blessings of Home bundle.

Card #1:

For Card #1, we stamped the large flower image on to a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink. We then used sponge daubers with Misty Moonlight and Garden Green ink to add colour to the flowers and leaves. This image is cut out using a corresponding die from the bundle. The DSP is from the new catalogue and is called Heart and Home DSP. It is a package of 12 X 12 papers with floral images on one side and wood plank images on the reverse of every page. The DSP is attached directly to a card base of Garden Green and the flower image is added on top of the DSP using dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped using Misty Moonlight ink on Shimmery White cardstock and is attached to the new Denim Ribbon. This is then added to the card front using dimensionals. The matte dots are also new. They are called Classic Matte Dots and come with 4 different colours in the package - Basic Black, Basic Gray, Very Vanilla and Basic White. Each colour also comes in 2 different sizes - small and large. I will be using many of these in the future.

Card #2:

For card #2 we cut a notecard size card base using Cinnamon Cider cardstock. We added another piece of DSP from the Heart and Home package. We stamped the flower image on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Cinnamon Cider ink. We used some of the other dies in the bundle to cut 2 sprays from Fresh Freesia cardstock, a leaf spray from Garden Green cardstock and three little flowers from Cinnamon Cider cardstock. These were all attached to the stamped flower image using Tombo multipurpose adhesive. We stamped the sentiment onto another piece of Shimmer White cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink and added this to the card front using dimensionals.

Card #3:

For card #3 we started with a card base of Fresh Freesia. We added another piece of DSP from the Heart and Home package directly to the card base. On top of the DSP we added 2 sprays that were cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock using another die from the bundle. The sentiment is stamped on the reverse side of this DSP using Cinnamon Cider ink. This was added to the center of the card using dimensionals. To finish the card, we added three little flowers that were die cut from Fresh Freesia cardstock.

It can't be a Stampin' Up! event if we don't make cards so thank you to Shannon West for sharing these designs with us.

I won't be sharing the items used for these cards because the bundle is not available yet. It will be available to order on January 4th, 2022.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed these cards and a little sneak peek of some new items from the new catalogue.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
