Rainbow of Happiness

Hello friends! It has been so lovely here the past couple of days. My daughter has been taking the baby out for walks every day and she loves it! I can't wait until I'm not grounded any more so I can join them. I am really looking forward to Wednesday so I can see her again! I feel absolutely fine but the nurse at 811 recommended staying away for the full 10 days since she is a newborn so of course I will do it. At least  I've been getting some cards made and some sewing done.

Today's card is another Mystery Card. I participated in my friend Susanne's team meeting today and this card is from that. We were told to cut our cardstock at specific dimensions and were told to have a piece of DSP measuring 6 X 6. We cut the DSP during the meeting and assembled our card then.

I started by choosing my DSP from the Sunshine & Rainbows pack. It is a free item that you can pick from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

I then chose my Bermuda Bay card base as it coordinated with the DSP. I cut my other pieces of cardstock according to the dimensions given to us. I chose Magenta Madness cardstock as it is also in the piece of DSP I chose. I cut the DSP to put it on the strips of Magenta Madness cardstock.

I attached the largest piece of matted DSP directly to the card front. I then added the medium sized piece just to the left of center and attached it using dimensionals. I added the smallest piece to the right using adhesive where it attached to the second piece of DSP and dimensionals where it attached to the card front.

I stamped my sentiment from the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to punch the ends of my strip of white cardstock. I matted this onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock that I punched in the same way. I added this sentiment piece to my card using dimensionals.

This is where I finished my card during the meeting but I was not completely pleased with it. It was missing something. I decided to add some white dots from the Classic Matte Dots package. I also added a bow that I tied using the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon. I attached the bow to my sentiment piece using a glue dot. The cardstock that I used is Magenta Madness and the ribbon I used is Polished Pink but I think it is a very close match and probably wouldn't have even been noticed if I didn't point it out.

What I used for today's card:

Rainbow of Happiness Stamp

Bermuda Bay Cardstock

Magenta Madness Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Sunshine & Rainbows DSP

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Lovely Labels Pick a Punch

Classic Matte Dots

Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I think this card feels like Spring with the bright and happy colours. I don't have a specific person in mind to send this card to which is unusual for me. I will send it off to someone though. I know I have said this before but I really enjoy these challenges and mystery cards. I hope whoever receives this one enjoys it.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
