Hello friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. I know this card is a little late for Easter but I made one more using the adorable Easter Friends stamp set and I wanted to share it with you.
I started with a Petal Pink card base. I added the polka dot DSP from the Hand Penned DSP pack to a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. I tied a piece of White Crinkled Ribbon around this and tied it into a knot. I added this to my Petal Pink card base with adhesive.
On a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, I stamped the bunny from the Easter Friends stamp set using Basic Gray ink. I stamped the bunny image on a scrap piece of paper and cut it out using my paper snips. I laid this on top of my stamped image on the shimmery white cardstock. I then stamped the grass image a few times using Granny Apple Green ink. The paper bunny image acts as a mat so that when the grass is stamped it doesn't stamp on the bunny I want to use on my card.
I used my Water Painter and some Sahara Sand ink to colour in my bunny. I thought the gray lines on the stamped image would smudge since I was using a water painter but surprisingly, they didn't. I also used the Water Painter with some Pool Party ink to colour the sky around the bunny. Once the image was dry, I matted it on a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. I added this to my card front using dimensionals.
On another small piece of Shimmery White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Basic Gray ink. I matted this on a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and added it to my card front below my bunny using dimensionals.
To complete my card, I added a few of the white gems from the Classic Matte Dots. I feel it ties in the images with the dots on the DSP.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. This is a really cute Easter Stamp set but it could also be used for baby cards or even birthday cards for little ones.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
