Cup of Tea

Hello friends! I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day this weekend. Whether you are a Mom to the two-legged or four-legged variety, it is still a very important job. I spent a quiet day in my craft room. I did get to talk to both of my daughters on the phone. The weather was not great so I was not tempted to go for a walk which is a good thing. I went for a long walk on Friday and have been paying for it since.

Anyways, on to today's card. I used one of the new bundles from the new catalogue. I have to be honest. This bundle was available to demonstrators as part of a pre-order but I wasn't sure about it. I liked it but I wasn't sure what I would do with it. Usually when I see a new bundle, I immediately get all kinds of ideas swimming around in my head but this one wasn't doing it. Then I thought about it for a few weeks and it grew on me. Now, of course, I love it!

I started with a card base of Starry Sky which is one of the new In Colours. On top of that, I added a piece of Sweet Sorbet which is another new In Colour. I embossed this piece using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. On top of the embossed piece, I added a piece of DSP from the Tea Boutique DSP pack. I love the colours in this DSP which is where I chose the cardstock colours from.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the greenery image from the stamp set using Garden Green ink. On top of that, I stamped the flowers image using Sweet Sorbet ink. I cut the stamped piece out using the largest stitched circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. This set is new and has stitched circles, stitched squares and stitched banners. It is very versatile! I added my circle to my card front using dimensionals.

I used the solid tea cup die to cut out a tea cup from some Starry Sky cardstock. On top of that I added the flourished tea cup image that I cut out of Basic White cardstock. I added the tea cup to the stitched circle using adhesive.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the larger label image using Starry Sky ink. I then stamped the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used the corresponding die from the bundle to cut out the label. It looks just like a label that would be on a tea bag. I added a piece of white baker's twine to the back of the label and attached the other end to the tea cup. I then attached the label to the card front using a dimensional. The baker's twine is from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.

And that completes my card. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope this inspires you to appreciate this bundle more than I did initially.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
