Nature's Prints

Hello friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was amazing! We had our Crafting at the Lakehouse Event on Sunday. Saturday I was doing the last minute things to get ready and loading my car with the things I could put in that wouldn't spoil (lunches, snacks and beverages). And then Sunday was the big event. It was so much fun but I have to admit that I'm pretty tired today. It is so worth it though. I love doing this event. I will share some pictures from Sunday at the end of today's post. If you are thinking about coming to the next one, we are already booked in for September 25th.

So on to today's card. The next few posts will be of the cards that we created for the Lakehouse Event. This first card was one that I created using the Nature's Prints Bundle.

I started with a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock. On top of that, I attached a piece of Starry Sky cardstock that I embossed using the new Fern 3D Embossing Folder. On top of that, I added a strip of DSP from the Sun Prints DSP pack.

I cut a circle from a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Layering Circles Dies. First, I stamped my sentiment towards the top of the circle using Starry Sky ink. The sentiment is from the Nature's Prints stamp set. I stamped the fern image twice using Pacific Point ink that I stamped off once. I then stamped the wheat image in the center of the ferns using Gray Granite ink.

I cut out some leaf images from some Vellum using the larger leaf die from the Natural Prints Dies which is part of the bundle. I also cut out two of the sprigs from some Gray Granite cardstock. I attached the sprigs to the vellum leaves using my Tombo multipurpose adhesive. Then I added Tombo to the back of the vellum leaves where the sprigs were so the glue wouldn't show through on the front. I stuck these onto my card front.

I added my circle that has the stamped images and sentiment over top of the joining of the leaves using dimensionals. To complete the card, I added a small piece of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon in the lower right "corner" of the circle. I tucked it just under the circle using glue dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. This is the first card in the Lakehouse Event Series. I hope you enjoyed it.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry

Here are some pictures from our event. The first few are before the ladies arrived. I realized that I missed getting a picture of a few of the ladies. If I missed you, I am so sorry!
