Four by Four Cards

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a really fun technique that also gives you four cards in a very quick manner. I have seen this technique done quite a few times but this is the first time I have actually tried it myself. It is called the Four by Four technique.

I started with a full 8.5 X 11 piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the larger leaf and the berries from the Leaves of Holly stamp set. I stamped them down the center line from top to bottom and across the center from right to left. The stamps in this set are a two-step stamping procedure. I stamped the first layer of the leaves in Soft Succulent ink and then stamped the detailed stamp over top of that in Evening Evergreen ink. For the berries, I stamped the first layer in Real Red ink that I stamped off once. I stamped the second layer in Real Red ink full strength. Here is a picture of the full sheet before I cut it up.

I cut the stamped page into four card fronts. I matted each card front onto a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. I put the matted pieces onto a card base of Real Red cardstock. Here are the four different cards:

Each card is a little different from here on. I stamped all of the sentiments using Real Red ink. The different sentiments are from the following stamp sets: Framed & Festive, Mistletoe Magic and Inspired Thoughts. On two of the cards, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card front. On the other two, I stamped the sentiment onto a separate piece of  Basic White cardstock and cut it out using different stitched banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. I added these sentiments to their card fronts using dimensionals. On three of the cards, I added Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed these cards. This is a fun technique that I will definitely be trying again.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
