Season of Chic

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a very special card for a very special little angel's first birthday. I can't believe that my sweet little girl is going to be one. It's been such a fun year with her. She is really getting quite the personality.

The colour theme for her party is pink, grey and white so those are the colours that I chose to use for her card. I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the snowflake and the splotch images randomly all over the cardstock using Versamark ink. I added White Embossing Powder from the Basics set and heated it to melt using my heat tool. Once it was cooled, I used my Blending Brushes to add Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate ink. After the ink dried, I used a tissue to wipe off any ink from the embossed images.

I matted this piece of cardstock with a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and then added it to a Blushing Bride card base.

I used another piece of Basic White cardstock and cut out a tag using the Tailor Made Tags Die set. I stamped the snowflake using Versamark ink again, added white embossing powder and heated it to melt. I cut out the same tag from a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and repeated the heat embossed snowflake on this tag as well. On the Basic White tag, I used the Blending Brushes to add the same inks as on my card front.

On a small piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink. The sentiment is from the One Happy Family Stamp set. I added the white embossing powder and heated it to melt. Once it cooled, I cut it out using the smaller tag die. I used a piece of White Crinkled Ribbon to tie the three tags together and tied the ribbon into a bow. I used some adhesive to stick the tags together and then added them to my card front using dimensionals.

Using another piece of Basic White cardstock, I cut out the snowflake images using the three different dies in the bundle. I added these snowflakes to the card and that completes my card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I know this is not your typical "first birthday" card but my daughter will be thrilled as it will match the theme. I may need to make another card for Peyton that is more age appropriate.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
