Hello, Irresistible

Hello friends! Hope you are having a great Easter weekend. We will be spending the weekend up at Big White. My daughter and family have rented a condo for the weekend so I will be going up to stay in our condo so I can be there to spend time with them and help out. Mom and Dad want to spend a day snowboarding so I get to spend the day with my sweet little angel. I will share pictures later....

So today's card was made using the Hello, Irresistible DSP. This is part of one of the new On Line Exclusives Bundles. Stampin' Up! will be releasing bundles throughout the year that are available on line only. This bundle is called Irresistible Blooms and it is gorgeous although I am only using the DSP from the bundle for this card. I think this is my new favourite fun fold technique. It is called the Bay Window Fold and you will see why.

I started with a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock for the card base. After scoring and folding, I added the DSP to my card front. I started with a piece of DSP that I cut into four pieces keeping them in order so that the picture will line up. The three pieces went on the front of the card and the fourth piece went on the inside. I also used two tiny strips of DSP from the same package to go on the outer edges of the card front.

I cut out two flowers from the Dainty Delight Dies set using Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I cut out the flower center using the same die set and Daffodil Delight cardstock. I glued these all together and then added them to a circle that I cut out of Evening Evergreen cardstock using the Layering Circles Dies. I added this to the far right of the card inside using dimensionals. This acts as a stop for keeping the card in place.

On a small piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Evening Evergreen ink. I used the sentiment from the Around the Bend stamp set. The entire sentiment says "I'm just so happy for you" but I inked up only the "so happy for you" part of  the stamp. It would have been too long to fit nicely on the card if I had used the entire sentiment. After I stamped, I cut out my sentiment using the stitched banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. I added this to the center panel of my bay window using dimensionals.

You could also make this card using cardstock in place of the DSP. You could stamp a scene and then cut it up like I did keeping the pieces in line so they match up. I did this card last month with my stamp group using the Dainty Delights DSP. This was DSP that was available as a Sale-a-bration item that of course sold out because it was so beautiful. Here is a picture of that card to give you some more inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed these cards. Unfortunately there are a few items that I used that will be retiring at the end of April. The Evening Evergreen cardstock and ink as well as the Layering Circles Dies. I was hoping with the colour refresh this year that Evening Evergreen would become a permanent colour but it didn't. Maybe this card will become your new favourite fun fold as well.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
