Hello friends! I imagine you might be wondering what happened to me as far as my posting goes. Well, it's a long story but here goes the condensed version....
Some of you are familiar with my "Toe Saga". For those that are not, I ended up with an infection in my big toe in November, 2021. By the time I got in to see my doctor, he wrote me a prescription and said I should be good as new in 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks, it was definitely not better so another antibiotic was prescribed. This kept going on and by March of 2022 I went for a scan and it was determined that the infection was in my joint now. More antibiotics. The infection would diminish while I was on the antibiotics but as soon as I went off of them, it would flare up again. January of this year, my toe was really sore. I went back to my doctor and he sent me for another scan. Now the infection was in the bone. My family doctor had referred me to a specialist two times before it got into the bone and the specialist wrote me a prescription both times and refused to see me.
In May of this year my family doctor got me in to a specialist that saw me right away. He wanted me to get on IV antibiotics immediately. He figured it would take up to 2 weeks to get me in but he was going to try to rush it. Four days later, I had my PICC line in and was finally on IV antibiotics. I was totally ignorant about the whole procedure. I thought I would get an IV put in, add my antibiotics when I'm supposed to and go back to see them at the end of the time. NOPE! I have to put in my antibiotics 3 times a day and go to the hospital 4 times a week to get everything checked and have lab work.
Five days after getting my line in I had my Crafting at the Lakehouse event. Preparing for that alone is a big job but adding in all of these appointments has been exhausting. I have been beating myself up for neglecting my blog posts but something had to go. A friend reminded me that I needed to look after myself which did help me feel a little better. I will be posting once a week for a while until we decide what my treatment will be. Thanks for understanding!
So for today's card, I used the Dainty Delight Bundle again. This was made for a friend's birthday.
I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. I used the one with the crosshatch pattern.
I cut out the long vine die from the Dainty Delight Dies set from Old Olive cardstock. I attached this vine to my embossed cardstock using adhesive. I cut out three flowers from Highland Heather cardstock and attached these to the vine using adhesive. I cut out the flower centers from Daffodil Delight cardstock and attached them to the flowers.
I wrapped a piece of White Baker's Twine (from the Baker's Twine Essentials pack) around the embossed cardstock three times and tied it into a bow. I then added this piece to a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock using dimensionals.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. This sentiment is from the Circle Sayings stamp set. I punched this out using the smaller oval in the Double Oval Punch. I attached this to my card front using dimensionals.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. This card is a little simpler than what I normally make but I am really pleased with how it turned out. I hope my friend liked it.
Stay well and keep creating,
Terry
And just because I can, here is a picture of my angel. We went up to Davison Orchards to see the animals. I decided that she needed an ice cream cone. This is the kiddie size!

My goodness - what a time you've had! Funny we didn't bump into you at the hospital - we were there sometimes twice a day! Hope things start improving for you soon.
