Hello friends! As some of you know, we had our Crafting at the Lakehouse event towards the end of May. I am going to be sharing the cards that I designed for that event.
Today's card features the Dainty Delight stamp set. This is such a beautiful stamp set!
I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock. I inked up an "H" Block using Bubble Bath ink. This is one of the new colours that was introduced with the new catalog. Once I had lots of ink on my block, I sprayed it with some water in a spritzer and then stamped it onto my piece of Basic White cardstock. I let this dry for quite a while. I then stamped one of the floral images from the stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I stamped the flower directly over top of the Bubble Bath rectangle. I matted this cardstock onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and tied a piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon around it. I then added this to a card base of Bubble Bath using dimensionals.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I punched this out using the smaller oval in the Double Oval Punch. I matted this oval onto a larger scalloped oval that I punched out from a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I then added the sentiment to the card front using dimensionals.
This is a fairly simple card but I love this technique and I also love the combination of pink and black. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this card.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
