One Sheet Wonder

Hello stampers! Today's post will feature a One Sheet Wonder technique. I totally copied (with permission) the layout from my friend Susanne. Some demonstrators put together a one sheet wonder technique and then charge to give out the measurements. Susanne is such a sharing person that she has given us the layout and measurements in her video. Here is a link to that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW6H73JkNxY&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR0-vETL3g2VluVp99UEW81YvP1TLoK7lwmp_MXkh_g0-Y4FFkCNERXJaic .
When you watch the video, it will help you understand what I have done. This is a really fun way to use up some of that extra designer series paper that you may have or a fast way to make a big stack of cards to have on hand. I got 15 cards out of one sheet of designer series paper plus some cardstock and embellishments. Here are some pictures of what I did.

The first picture is the piece of DSP that I chose to use. It is from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

This is the first cutting of the DSP. I cut the 12 X 12 sheet into three sheets that were 4 X 12.

This is a picture after cutting the three strips into the smaller pieces to use on the cards. I did make an error while cutting my paper. On the middle 4 X 12 strip, I cut the top piece and the bottom piece in half. I should not have done that. I was supposed to cut the two top pieces from the strip on the right in half. I corrected this and carried on following Susanne's directions. I will use up the pieces that I cut incorrectly on another card or maybe two to add to my stash.

After I had all of my paper cut, I assembled the cards using Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card bases. I used Old Olive cardstock to mat some of the pieces of DSP and then added a sentiment that I stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I added some embellishments and the cards were done!  When I was making these cards, I realized that I am desperately lacking in sentiment stamps. Susanne used the Peaceful Moments stamp set for her sentiments. It is a perfect variety of different sentiments. That set will be going on my next order for sure. I used various stamp sets, including some that are retiring as of June 2nd. I used sentiments from Special Celebrations and Beautiful Bouquet (both are retiring); Inspiring Iris, Timeless Tulips, Very Versailles and Celebrate Sunflowers which is a new set in the new catalogue. For my embellishments I used Star Designer Elements and Gilded Gems. The Gilded Gems are also new and were in the early release sale for the Ornate Gardens bundle.

Here is a picture of my finished cards:

What I used to create these cards:

Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper

Thick Whisper White Cardstock

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Special Celebrations Stamp

Beautiful Bouquet Stamp

Inspiring Iris Stamp

Timeless Tulips Stamp

Very Versailles Stamp

Gilded Gems

Star Designer Elements

I also used a new stamp set called Celebrate Sunflowers. I can't add a link for this one as it is not available for purchase until June 3rd.

I hope that you will give this technique a try. Thanks for stopping by. Stay healthy and keep creating.
Terry
