Forever Fern

Well this is a very exciting time in the Stampin' Up! year - it is the launch of the new annual catalogue! This year's catalogue is full of gorgeous goodies. As a demonstrator, I was able to order select items from the new catalogue a month early. One of the items I ordered was the Forever Fern Bundle. I think it is going to be one of my new favourites. The stamps are Distinktive so they have a realistic look to them and there are coordinating dies to cut out the leaves.

For today's card, I used the Forever Fern Bundle as well as the coordinating Greenery embossing folder and Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. It is such a versatile set.

I started with a new 2020 -2022 In Colour cardstock, Just Jade, for my card base. I added a piece of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper which I matted with a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock. I then added a strip of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed using the new Greenery embossing folder. It is a new style designed to fit into the upcoming Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. It comes in a pack of 2 folders and is 3 3/8 inches wide. The strip of cardstock I used was 4 inches wide so I simply embossed the cardstock twice. The images lined up perfectly.

I stamped my sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Shaded Spruce ink and cut it out using the new Tasteful Labels Dies. I matted this with the swirly die from the Painted Poppies Dies cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock. I stamped some of the sprigs of leaves onto some scrap Whisper White cardstock using Shaded Spruce and Pear Pizzazz ink. I cut them out using the corresponding dies from Forever Fern Bundle. I also cut some leaves out of Vellum cardstock. I attached these under my sentiment piece and then popped the sentiment up on dimensionals. To complete my card, I added a few gems from the Flowers for Every Seasons Gems pack. They are a mixture of bright green and clear gems. The clear gems look like little raindrops on the leaves.
