Card for a Challenge

Hello my friends! Have you ever wanted to make a card but were stumped on where to start? That is when a challenge comes in really handy. Today's card was made for the As You See It Challenge. You can check them out at http://www.asyouseeitchallenge.com/  . I used to do these challenges fairly often but for some reason got away from it. I was excited to give it a go this week.

The challenge this week was to do a sketch challenge on the bias. Here is the card I came up with.

I started with a Thick Whisper White card base. I added a piece of DSP from the Poinsettia Place  Designer Series Paper. I cut this to size and then put it in my trimmer and cut it from corner to corner to get the bias.

On top of this, I added a beautiful poinsettia that I cut out of Whisper White cardstock using the Poinsettia Dies. I also added a layer of vellum in my poinsettia and added a couple of vellum sprigs using the dies in this set. I used Tombo multipurpose adhesive to stick the layers of my poinsettia together and then used dimensionals to stick it to my card. To finish off the gorgeous flower I added a Beaded Pearl to the center with a glue dot.

I stamped my sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas. I used my snips to cut a banner into each end of my sentiment and added it to the card front using dimensionals.

I didn't stray too far from the sketch in the challenge but I think this is a beautiful card even though it is fairly simple.

What I used for today's card:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock

Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper

Whisper White Cardstock

Vellum Cardstock

Beaded Pearls

Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp

Poinsettia Dies

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I highly recommend checking out the many challenges that are out there in the world. For sure check out the As You See It Challenge. It will help you get your mojo back or if you have too many ideas, it will narrow things down for you.

Stay healthy and keep creating!

Terry

  2. This is easily my top pick of all the entries, Terry. I love the addition of the vellum and how it adds a softness to this pretty card. I'm so glad you shared it with us at the As You See It Challenge blog!

The Merkur 37c is an excellent short handled DE safety razor. It is more 1xbet 먹튀 suitable for both 메이피로출장마사지 heavy and non-slip hands and is poormansguidetocasinogambling.com therefore a great https://deccasino.com/review/merit-casino/ option for experienced
