Hello my friends! Don't hate me but I had to bring out the Christmas stamps for today's card. I have had my new Christmas stamps for a while now but have been too busy to play with them. I decided it was time. Whether we will be ready or not, Christmas will be here before we know it. Today I have used a new stamp from the August to December catalogue, Gnome for the Holidays. These gnomes are so adorable!
This card came about because I had a piece of the ribbon from the All the Trimmings ribbon combo pack. My friend and upline dropped something off to me and this beautiful ribbon was tied around it. I hadn't ordered this ribbon, yet. Obviously after seeing it in person and seeing how gorgeous it is, I had to order it. I find it very interesting how cards get designed. Once I bought a T-shirt because it had a lovely picture on it that I thought would make a beautiful card. Anyways, back to today's card....
I started with an Old Olive card base to match the Old Olive ribbon. I knew I wanted to use the tree house stamp so I chose to use the wood grain paper from the Poinsettia Place DSP pack. I matted the DSP onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock to match the Soft Suede in the wood grain. I tied the Old Olive ribbon around the cardstock with the DSP on it and tied a bow.
I stamped my images onto some Whisper White cardstock using the Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured them in using my Stampin' Blends. The colours I used are Real Red, Smoky Slate, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Old Olive and Ivory. I used the Stitched so Sweetly dies to cut out the tree image and the sentiment but I fussy cut out the gnomes. I hope whoever receives this card appreciates that I actually fussy cut something because I really do not enjoy that. I used dimensionals to pop up the tree image and then used more dimensionals to pop the gnomes up on either side of the tree. I also used dimensionals to pop the sentiment piece.
What I used for today's card:
All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack
Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The little gnomes are so cute and the Old Olive ribbon coordinates with the card base and the colours in the gnomes, grass and leaves. Have you started on your Christmas cards yet?
Stay healthy and keep creating!
Terry
