A Touch of Ink

Hello my friends! So today I am going to be sharing two simpler cards using the same set. I used the A Touch of Ink stamp set that is a level 2 Sale-a-bration item. This means you can get this set for free when you spend $120. It has really cute images and the sentiments are also very versatile.

On the first card I stamped the hummingbird and the flower images onto a small piece of  Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The entire flower image did not fit on my small piece of cardstock so I just stamped the top portion of the image. I then used my Stampin' Blends to colour in the images. I used Old Olive and Petal Pink. I then used our new Blending Brushes to add some Balmy Blue ink to fill in the background so it would not be too much white on white.

I also stamped my sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a small piece of Basic White cardstock. I added Balmy Blue using the blending brushes to the sentiment piece as well.

I used a Basic White Thick card base. I then added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I wrapped a piece of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon around the embossed piece and tied it into a bow. I added this to my card base using dimensionals I then added my stamped image and my sentiment to the card front using dimensionals.

What I used for this card:

A Touch of Ink Stamp

Basic White Thick Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Balmy Blue Classic Stampin' Pad

Blending Brushes

Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon

Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder

For the second card, I used the A Touch of Ink stamp set as well.

I stamped the flower and hummingbird images using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on to a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the flower image three times and positioned the hummingbird so it looked like it was getting some nectar from one of the flowers. This stamp set is a two-step stamp set. This means that there is an outline of the image and then a second stamp that fills in the images. I stamped the second step of the flower image using Flirty Flamingo ink. For the hummingbird, I inked up the second step stamp in Granny Apple Green ink and then used a sponge dauber to add Poppy Parade ink to the belly area and then stamped it down.

I used a Basic Black card base. On top of this, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock. Before I attached the Basic White piece, I stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I added a Basic Black mat to my stamped piece and then added this to my card front using dimensionals.

To finish off the card, I added some Clear Epoxy Drops.

What I used for this card:

A Touch of Ink Stamp

Basic Black Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin' Pad

Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin' Pad

Poppy Parade Classic Stampin' Pad

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed these cards. They are a little simpler but I think they are still fun. Sometimes simpler is better. It looks like we will be having perfect weather for staying inside and making cards.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
