Hello my friends! I hope you are all doing well. I have not been able to get into my craft room for a few days so it felt good to get back in there yesterday. Last weekend I participated in an all day Facebook Live presentation from other demonstrators across Canada. It is very similar to the day long presentation from back in October. This time the focus was on the new January to June Mini Catalogue. There were challenges to do if you wanted to. I love a challenge so I did as many as I could.
Today's card is a product from one of those challenges. The challenge was to do a waterfall card. I haven't done one of these cards for ages so I was excited to do it.
Here is a picture of the front of the card:
And here are pictures of the various images as the waterfall part is pulled down.
I started with a Bermuda Bay card base. I added a mat of Real Red cardstock and on top of that I added a piece of DSP from the Snail Mail DSP package.
For the waterfall portion of my card, I used a piece of Real Red cardstock. I used Bermuda Bay cardstock for the pieces that attach to the waterfall piece. On top of the Bermuda Bay cardstock I used Basic White cardstock that I stamped various images from the Snailed It stamp set. I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp my images and then coloured them in using my Stampin' Blends. I used Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Stampin' Blends.
On the inside portion of my waterfall, I used a sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set and a couple images from the Kangaroo and Company stamp set. I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp these and the same Stampin' Blends to colour them in. I punched a hole in the bottom of this piece and tied a piece of Whisper White Seam Binding ribbon that I coloured with my Real Red Stampin' Blend. This ribbon is the piece that you pull down to make the waterfall slide.
I also added some of the new Resin Hearts Embellishments to my card. I added two white ones on the panel that holds down the waterfall portion and I added one red heart to the top panel. These little hearts are so stinking cute!
What I used for today's card:
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. It was really fun for me to make. This stamp set is so adorable and I haven't done a waterfall card for years. The weather is certainly perfect for hanging out in the craft room. I was really glad I didn't have to go anywhere today or yesterday so I could work on some of these new challenges.
Stay well and keep creating!
