Sweet Ice Cream Side Step Card

Hello my friends! Today's card is another card I did for one of the challenges from last weekend. This challenge was to do a Fun Fold card. I decided to do a Side Step card because I haven't done one of these for a long time as well.

I used the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle for today's card. This is a super cute stamp set with a coordinating punch that punches out the scoop of ice cream and the cone.

I started by cutting and scoring my card base using Blackberry Bliss cardstock. To the left panel, I added a piece of DSP from the Ice Cream Corner DSP package. On top of this I added a piece of Basic White cardstock. On a scrap of Basic White cardstock, I stamped three scoops of ice cream using three different colours. I stamped off once with the Blackberry Bliss and Pool Party ink but used the Petal Pink ink full strength. On top of the ice cream scoops I used the respective inks and stamped the sprinkles image stamp using the inks full strength. I punched out the scoops using the coordinating punch. I also stamped the cone image on a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Cinnamon Cider ink stamped off once. I added the detail on the cone using Cinnamon Cider ink full strength. I punched out the cone using the same punch. I added the ice cream cone on top of the Basic White cardstock using dimensionals.

To the smallest panel on the right side of the card, I added a strip of the same DSP from the Ice Cream Corner DSP.

For the middle panel on the right side, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that I matted on a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. On the white piece, I stamped my sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set using Blackberry Bliss ink. I also added two ice cream cones that I fussy cut from the reverse side of the same piece of DSP that I used on the rest of this card. I also added a little bow that I tied using the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon. I adhered this between the two ice cream cones using a glue dot.

For the larger panel on the right side, I layered a piece of the same DSP on a piece of Basic White cardstock and then layered that on to a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. On another scrap of Basic White cardstock I stamped the Popsicle image twice using Petal Pink ink. I wanted them to look like Creamsicles (one of my faves!). I also stamped the stick using Cinnamon Cider ink that I stamped off once and then added the coordinating wood detail stamp using Cinnamon cider ink full strength. I fussy cut these images out and added them to the panel using dimensionals.

What I used for today's card:

Sweet Ice Cream Bundle

Happy Thoughts Stamp

Blackberry Bliss Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Ice Cream Corner DSP

Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin' Pad

Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad

Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad

Cinnamon Cider Classic Stampin' Pad

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I am really enjoying these challenges as it is encouraging me to try techniques I haven't done for ages. Today's card was really fun and I think I know an adorable little girl who would love this one. Is there a technique or fun fold that you haven't done for a long time? Maybe it's time to give it another go.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
