Hello my friends! Welcome to another Stamping Inkspiration Blog Hop. The theme for this month is "Anything Easter and/or Spring". There are 33 of us playing this month! I have heard that some people get scared off when they see that there is a large number of people in a blog hop. I hope you don't get scared off and will visit every post. There are some amazing, talented people in this group and you will definitely get some great ideas.
I went with the Easter theme and made Easter cards for my little loves. Making Easter cards for them reminds me of one of my favourite pictures of Paisley. She is admiring her Easter card from Nana and Papa and has such a serious look on her face. We got her new pink rubber boots that she is wearing on the wrong feet. She loved those boots so much that she wouldn't take them off for three days - she even slept in them! I love that little girl!! I will share this picture at the end of my post because it is adorable but it has nothing to do with today's cards or blog post.
I will start with Everett's card first today.
I stamped the Easter basket and the chick from the Springtime Joy stamp set using Black Staz On ink on Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. I stamped the little chick twice. I used the Layering Circles dies to cut out my image. I then used the new Water Painters to watercolour these images. I love these new water painters because there are three different sized brushes. The tiny one makes colouring small images so much easier! I used Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather inks to colour my images.
I started with a Very Vanilla Thick card base. On top of that I added a layer of Daffodil Delight cardstock and then a layer of Pool Party cardstock. I embossed the Pool Party piece using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I added a strip of DSP from the Snail Mail DSP pack that I cut a banner cut in the bottom edge.
I added my watercoloured piece to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I then cut this out using a die from the Ornate Frames Die set and added it to my card front using dimensionals.
What I used for Everett's card:
Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad
Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad
Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad
Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin' Pad
Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin' Pad
Highland Heather Classic Stampin' Pad
Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder
And here is Paisley's card:
I stamped the lamb image from the Springtime Joy stamp set onto Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper using Black Staz On ink. I used the Layered Circles Dies to cut the image out. I used the Water Painters to colour the lamb image. I used Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Sahara Sand inks to colour my images.
I started with a Very Vanilla Thick card base again. I added a layer of Highland Heather cardstock on top of that and then a layer of Purple Posy cardstock on top of that. I embossed the Purple Posy cardstock using the Swirls N Curls embossing folder. I added a strip of DSP from the Sand & Sea DSP package that I cut a banner cut in the bottom.
I added my watercolour image to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Tulips on to Very Vanilla cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then cut it out using a die from the Ornate Frames Dies set. I added this to my card front using dimensionals.
What I used for Paisley's card:
Highland Heather Classic Stampin' Pad
Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad
Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad
Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad
Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad
Items that were used on both cards:
