Hello my friends! Well unfortunately I didn't get very many pictures of cards emailed to me but I did get some. I did the draw on Sunday and the big winner is Sharon M! I know she will be excited and I hope she enjoys her big prize. Maybe she will let me take a picture of her with her goodies so I can share it on the blog. That way everyone will see what they missed out on and will want to do whatever they need to to get in on the next draws. Congratulations Sharon!!
Today's card was made a couple of months ago. I wanted to share it now as the Healing Hugs stamp set is going to be retiring at the end of this annual catalogue which is May 3rd. I needed to make a get well card for a friend that had surgery. I love the Healing Hugs set for this purpose. It has great sentiments and with the DistInktive style of the stamp, the images have incredible depth.
I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base. On top of this, I added a layer of Basic White cardstock. I embossed the right side using one of the embossing folders from the Greenery set. On the left side, I added a strip of DSP from the Dandy Garden DSP package. Then I wrapped a piece of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon around this and tied it into a bow.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower image from Healing Hugs using Blackberry Bliss ink. I also stamped the leaf image twice, using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut this out using an oval from the Layering Ovals Dies set. I also cut out a Blackberry Bliss scalloped oval and matted the flower image on top of this. I added this to the card front using dimensionals. Unfortunately the Layering Ovals Dies will also be retiring. I am very sad about this because I use these dies A LOT!
I stamped the sentiment using Mossy Meadow ink onto a strip of Basic White cardstock.. I matted this onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock that I cut out using a die from the Stitched so Sweetly Dies set. I added this to the card front using dimensionals.
What I used for today's card:
Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper
Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon
Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin' Pad
Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I really hope my friend likes it and it brings her some cheer while she heals from her surgery.
Congratulations again Sharon. I hope you like your goodies. Thanks for sharing your cards with me.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
