Hello my friends! I created this card to take part in a challenge for our Kaleidoscope Stampers group. We were to create a card that uses something new, or something that inspires Spring. I decided on this card as I wanted to use the Many Medallions die set that I got when the annual catalogue came out last June. I hadn't used this set at all! I cased a picture from the catalogue to make this card. I wasn't sure which stamp sets were used so I used what I had.
I started with a Petal Pink card base. I used the large die from the Many Medallions die set to cut the background piece. I cut it from the Sahara Sand foil from the Love You Always Foil Sheets. I attached a piece of adhesive sheet to the back of the foil before cutting it out. Then when it was cut, it was super easy to stick down to my card base.
I cut stitched circle out of a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Stitched Shapes die set. I attached this to my card front using dimensionals.
I stamped the larger flower from the Pretty Perennials set onto some Basic White cardstock using Petal Pink ink. I stamped the flower center using Poppy Parade ink stamped off once. I then cut out the flowers using the corresponding dies from the bundle.
I stamped the leaves from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set using Just Jade ink. I then cut them out using the corresponding die and cut the leaves off of the stem to use them for this card. I attached the flowers to the stitched circle using dimensionals and then attached the leaves using Tombo multipurpose glue.
I stamped the Celebrate sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set using Just Jade ink on Just Jade cardstock. I cut it out using a die from the Painted Labels die set. I stamped the Welcome Spring sentiment onto a strip of Basic White cardstock using Poppy Parade ink. I cut a banner edge into the strip of cardstock. I attached the Just Jade sentiment to the card front using dimensionals on the right edge and adhesive to attach it to the stitched circle. I attached the second sentiment using adhesive.
I added some Opal Rounds to the card front to add some bling.
What I used for today's card:
Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
Just Jade Classic Stampin' Pad
Poppy Parade Classic Stampin' Pad
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I am glad I finally used this die set. It is a really nice die and there are so many other ways of using it. I will definitely have to use it some more. Do you have a stamp set or dies that has not made it out of the packaging yet? Leave me a comment and let me know. (Hint: whoever leaves the most comments this month is going to win a prize for my anniversary month!)
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
Very nice background die!
ReplyDeleteAs for unused stamps and dies... that's my mission for this year... I'm challenging myself to use as many different sets as possible...🤓
It is a nice die! So many options with it - you can use it full or cut it up.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your challenge! Sometimes I need more hours in the day to get it all done...
