 Hello my friends! I hope you are able to enjoy this beautiful, sunny weather we are having here in Kelowna. It is absolutely gorgeous here. It makes it harder to spend time inside in the craft room when it is so nice outside but I knew I needed to make a card so I did it.

Today's card was made for a dear friend that was recently given some devastating news. I knew I needed to make a card using the Country Home stamp set (retiring) because this is the set that brought us together as friends. The first time I walked into her home  I saw these exact milk cans that she had painted beautiful pictures on. We both knew she had to have this stamp set. She was in the process of switching hobbies from painting to card making. She loved Stampin' Up! and decided join my team. More importantly though, she became my friend as well.

This card is a bit of a case (Copy And Share Everything) of a card in the catalogue. I stamped the milk can onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. On top of that, I stamped the bunch of flowers using the same ink. Since this stamp set is photopolymer, it was very easy to line up the flowers and the milk can. I let this dry a bit and then coloured the images in using my Stampin' Blends. The colours I used are Pool Party, So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green. The card in the catalogue looks like they had stamped the wood  stamp from the Pallet Thoughts stamp set on the bottom. I do not have this set so I had to improvise. I stamped the milk can onto a piece of DSP from the In Good Taste DSP package. I cut it out and attached the DSP to the bottom of my card. I think it looks more like the milk can is sitting on a table top or floor than if I had just left it blank.

I matted this card front onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and then attached it to a Basic White Thick card base.

I stamped my sentiment from the Here's a Card stamp set (retiring) on to a piece of So Saffron cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. On the bottom edge, I cut a banner cut into the cardstock. On the top edge, I wrapped some linen thread around the cardstock a couple of times and then tied it into a bow. I attached this piece to my card using dimensionals.
