Hello my friends! I am sharing another card today using the new Elegantly Said stamp set from the new catalogue. I REALLY like this new set. Once you get the new catalogue in your hands you will agree too.
I made this card for a friend that has been very supportive of me. I can't tell you who it is for in case she looks on this blog post and sees it before it arrives.
I started by inking up my "D" block up in the new In Colour, Pale Papaya. This is a gorgeous pale, soft, peachy yellow. I think it is my favourite new In Colour. Once I had my block inked up, I spritzed it with a little water using my Stampin' Spritzer. Then I stamped the block onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. It gave a nice square of ink that is kind of blotchy but that is how it is supposed to look.
I let this dry really well. It was a couple of hours as I went for a long walk and when I got home, it was dry enough to finish. Once dry, I stamped the flower image from the Elegantly Said stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink right into the center of the square of ink. I then stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I stamped this towards the bottom of the card piece so there would be room for the ribbon.
I matted this piece of cardstock onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Then I wrapped a piece of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon around this and tied it into a knot. This ribbon is also brand new in the new catalogue and it is beautiful! I added these pieces on to a Pale Papaya card base using dimensionals and that is my card.
What I used for today's card:
Pale Papaya Cardstock (Available May 4th)
Elegantly Said Stamp (Available May 4th)
Pale Papaya Classic Stampin' Pad (Available May 4th)
Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon (Available May4th)
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. This is more of a simpler card but it still has a wow. I think my friend will like it because this is also her new favourite of the new In Colours. Yes, she is also a demonstrator so she has all of the new goodies already too!
If you want the new catalogue ahead of the rest of the crowd and the new products before everyone else stay tuned. There is an amazing new signing bonus coming up on May 4th. Join my team and be part of a really fun crafting family and save money!
