Hello my friends! I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather today because it is supposed to come to an end for a few days. The rain is perfect weather for crafting in my world.
Today's card uses one of my favourite new stamps from the new catalogue. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I get to see the catalogue and order from it a month before it goes live. Such a great perk! The stamp set I used is called Elegantly Said. It is gorgeous!
I am also using 2 more of the new In Colours. I am using Evening Evergreen (the dark green) and Soft Succulent (the lighter green). They are both beautiful colours.
I started with a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. I used my Stamparatus to line up the stamp in the corner of the cardstock. I stamped with Versamark ink and then added some Gold Embossing powder and heated it to melt. I flipped the cardstock around and stamped the same image in the opposite corner and repeated the stamping, embossing powder and heating. I love how the gold looks on this beautiful green. I then used my paper trimmer to cut the cardstock in half from corner to corner. I added these two pieces to a piece of Basic White cardstock. I adhered them exactly in the corners of the white cardstock so that there was a strip of white diagonally through the center of the card. I used my Stamparatus again to line up my sentiment to stamp on the center portion of my card. I used the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black Staz On ink.
I matted this piece onto a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock and then added it to an Evening Evergreen card base. To finish off my card, I added two Gilded Gems on either side of the sentiment.
What I used for today's card:
Elegantly Said Stamp (Available May 4th)
Evening Evergreen Cardstock (Available May 4th)
Soft Succulent Cardstock (Available May 4th)
Gold Embossing Powder (No longer available)
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I cannot say who this card is going to because that friend follows my blog. I will say though that it is for a friend that did something very sweet for me. Thank you my friend!
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
