Hello my friends! Have you had a chance to look at the new catalogue yet? It is incredible! I probably say that every year but it is true. Every year the catalogue is full of new and exciting beautiful things.
Today's card uses one of the new bundles in the catalogue - Hand Penned Petals. I have to admit, I wasn't drawn to this set immediately. However, then I started to see the gorgeous projects that other demonstrators were creating and I had to have it. The coordinating designer series paper is also gorgeous and it was another convincing point to me needing this set.
I started with a Basic White Thick card base. On top of this I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
I added a couple of tags that I cut out using the new Taylor Made Tags Dies set. I cut one out of Basic White cardstock and one out of Vellum. I tied these two tags together using some white bakers twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack. I added these to my card front using Tombo multipurpose glue.
I stamped the larger floral image from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used the coordinating stamps to stamp in the flowers and leaves images. I used Fresh Freesia ink for the flowers and Soft Succulent for the leaves. I stamped off the images each time I stamped them so the colour would be more subtle. Once I finished stamping the images, I used the matching die from the Penned Flowers Dies set to cut out the flower image. I attached this to my card front on top of the tags using dimensionals.
I stamped my sentiment from the new Pansy Patch stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. Before I stamped my sentiment, I used the Banners Pick a Punch to cut the banner cut in the right side of the strip of cardstock. Then, once I stamped my sentiment, I trimmed off the left side to the length I wanted. I added this piece to my card front using dimensionals.
To finish off this card, I added some Opal Rounds to give a little sparkle. I am so excited that these are carrying over to the new catalogue!
What I used for today's card:
Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
Fresh Freesia Classic Stampin' Pad
Soft Succulent Classic Stampin' Pad
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I had lots of fun making this one. It is so exciting to use all new stamps, dies and inks. If you have not received a copy of the new catalogue yet and would like one, let me know and I will make sure you get one.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
