Hello my friends!
I have another stamping anniversary to celebrate. Another one of the girls on my team is celebrating her first anniversary as a demonstrator. Of course that is an event that needs to be celebrated. I decided to use the Simply Elegant Specialty DSP because it is so beautiful. I got the idea for this card from the catalogue. I combined and changed a few different layouts that were used.
I started by stamping the long border image onto a strip of Gold Foil Sheet using Versamark. I added gold embossing powder (from the metallics set) and heated it to melt it. I added a strip of DSP from the Simply Elegant Specialty DSP pack on either side of the gold foil strip. The DSP I used is the same piece of paper, the leaves piece is on the reverse side of the gray piece with the silver and gold swirls.
I matted this piece on to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and then added this to a Basic Gray card base.
I stamped the border image onto another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Basic Gray ink. I then stamped my sentiment above the border using Versamark. I added gold embossing powder and heated it to melt. I used the Elegant Tag punch to cut out my sentiment piece. This punch is part of the Elegantly Said Bundle. I added Stampin' Seal to the back of my tag and added the gold trim from the Simply Elegantly Trim pack to the tag. I added the trim in a swirl pattern so that it looked like a flower shape. I then added my tag to my card front using dimensionals.
To finish the card off, I added some Gilded Gems. I added one small one to my sentiment tag and then added two larger ones in opposite corners of the card.
This card is something quite different from what I would usually make but I am happy with how it turned out.
What I used for today's card:
Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I also hope my team member has a very Happy Stampaversary.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
This one I'm going to try for sure - as soon as my gold embossing powder arrives! :) Congratulations to the one year demonstrator!
