Hello my friends! I hope you are all enjoying this slightly cooler weather. I know I keep repeating myself about the fires but it is a huge thing on everyone's minds. We had blue skies with real clouds a few days this week and the air was clean! It was so wonderful! Unfortunately, the smoke has returned but not as bad as it was. I hope you are all safe wherever you are!
Today's card is another wedding card. Our next door neighbour is getting married on Friday. She is a lovely person and we love having her next door. You don't always get to choose your neighbours, especially if they move in after you, so if you end up with good ones, it is a huge bonus.
I went with a slightly monochromatic look again for this card. I started with a card base of Basic White Thick. I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I wrapped some White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon around this piece and tied it into a bow. I then attached this piece of cardstock to my card base.
I used the Floral Heart Dies to cut the flourished heart image out of Silver Foil. I attached this directly to my card front using adhesive. Since this die cuts out the center heart as well, I cut it out again, this time using Basic White cardstock. I didn't use the flourished heart, just the plain, center heart. I stamped my sentiment onto the center of the Basic White heart using Versamark ink. The sentiment is from the Forever Blossoms Stamp set. I added Silver Embossing powder (from the Metallics Embossing Powder set) to my Versamark ink and heated it to melt it. I added this heart to the center of the silver flourished heart using dimensionals.
I then cut some leaf images from the Forever Flourishing Dies set out of Basic White cardstock. I added the larger images to the lower, right portion of the heart and the smaller ones to the upper, left portion. To finish off the card, I added three rhinestones under the sentiment.
What I used for today's card:
Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I hope the wedding goes well on Friday and that the bride and groom have a wonderful, happy life together. Do you have any weddings this summer? This is my second one this month. I have not attended either wedding as they are very small celebrations due to Covid. I was lucky enough to make cards for the brides though!
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
