Pretty Pumpkins

Hello my friends! Today was a cool and rainy day which is the perfect day to craft. I made a card for today's blog post and another dozen cards for my Team Canada project. I probably told you about the project months ago but it is a group of demonstrators that are sending homemade cards to fellow demonstrators to recognize them for being awesome. I don't want to say more about that as it is supposed to be a surprise for those who are receiving the cards.

For today's card, I wanted to use the colour Cajun Craze. I had forgotten about it but when I was prepping for last weekend's event I came across it and decided it was time to use it again. I really like this colour but I only seem to use it during the Fall season. It is a perfect Fall colour but I imagine it could be used any time of the year. I just don't seem to use it during the rest of the year.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in the upper right corner using Early Espresso ink. On the lower half of the cardstock, I added a piece of the Cork Specialty Paper. This paper is unbelievable! It looks and feels like real cork but it is paper. I have no idea how it was made but I am sure it must have real cork in it. On top of the cork paper, I wrapped a piece of the Diamond Weave Ribbon and secured it at the back.

I stamped the flowery pumpkin image from the Pretty Pumpkins bundle in Cajun Craze ink on Cajun Craze cardstock. I used the coordinating die from the bundle to cut it out. I also used the two other pumpkin dies to cut out the fillagree pumpkin and the detailed pumpkin. I added some adhesive sheets to our Gold Foil Sheets and then cut out these two pumpkins. It made attaching them to my card front so much easier! I attached them directly to my card front and then attached the cajun craze pumpkin using dimensionals. I added a little bow using the gold trim from the Simply Elegant Trim package to the cajun craze pumpkin using a glue dot.

I attached my card front to a Cajun Craze card base using dimensionals. To finish off the card, I added a couple Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots in gold. These metallic dots are so pretty and they come in three different colours - gold, bronze and copper.

What I used for today's card:

Pretty Pumpkins Bundle

Cajun Craze Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Gold Foil Sheets

Cork Specialty Paper

Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad

Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad

Diamond Weave Ribbon

Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots

Simply Elegant Trim

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I can't say who will be receiving this one as it has not been sent yet and I don't want the recipient to see it here and know it is for them. Do you have a colour like Cajun Craze that you only use for certain times of the year? What colour would that be? Let me know in the comments.

Stay well and keep creating!

Air Freshener

Hello my friends! I hope you had a great weekend. It was beautiful here. Our big event was on Sunday and it was a big hit. I will share pictures at a later time. I am still recovering from the full day, the prep work and the unpacking. It was all worth it though because everyone loved it!

So today's post is not a card, it is a 3D project. Last Saturday there was another presentation from the SSS Team Group which is Silvers Supporting Silvers. A few times a year, they share projects with us and challenge us to reproduce these projects by making them our own. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete all of the projects as I was prepping for the big event. Now that it is finished, I can always go back and watch the replays and complete the projects on my own time.

Today's project is an air freshener. The lady that shared this with us was going to hang hers in her car but I like having mine in my craft room. It makes my room smell so pretty!

I started with a strip of Basic White Thick cardstock. I added a piece of DSP from the In Good Taste DSP pack to the bottom of this cardstock. I then used the Jar punch to punch out the mason jar shape from both pieces.

I filled the Mason Jar Shaker Dome with epsom salts. I added a few drops of Lavender essential oil to the epsom salts. I then removed the adhesive backing from the back of the shaker dome and attached a coffee filter to it. I trimmed the excess coffee filter off. I removed the adhesive backing off of the front of the shaker dome and attached two pieces of baker's twine across the top of the jar. The baker's twine is from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon combo pack. The baker's twine stuck to the adhesive on the shaker jar. I added a couple of glue dots on top of the baker's twine and then added my cardstock piece to the shaker dome so that the shaker dome fit through the punched window in the cardstock.

I used one of the dies from the Meadow Dies set and cut out a few sprigs from some Basic White cardstock. I thought these sprigs looked a little like a lavender plant. I coloured the stem of the sprigs using a combination of Gray Granite and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends. I coloured the buds using Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends. I attached these to the cardstock so it looks like they are coming out of the mason jar.

I used the Detailed Trio Punch to punch a hole in the top and tied another piece of the baker's twine through it so the air freshener could be hung up.

Instead of the epsom salts, you could use scented laundry beads or any other scented beads. Apparently there is one type of scented bead that is made of a wax like substance. If you use that in your air freshener and hang it in your car it could melt and leak out if it gets really hot in your car. We are getting out of that hot weather now so you may want to give it a try.

What I used for today's project:

Basic White Thick Cardstock

In Good Taste DSP

Basic White

Mason Jar Shaker Domes

Jar Punch

Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack

Detailed Trio Punch

Meadow Dies

Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends

Gray Granite Stampin' Blends

Soft Suede Stampin' Blends

Epsom Salts

Lavender Essential Oil

Coffee Filter

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this project. I think it is really cute and I will definitely be making some more. I think they would make cute little gifts, possibly for a shower or something like that. Of course, you could use different essential oils to have different scents or the scented beads like I mentioned above.

Stay well and keep creating!

Nature's Harvest

Hello my friends! Welcome to Fall. I feel like people either love this time of year or they don't. While I don't absolutely love Fall, I do appreciate some of the things the new season brings. Things like cozy days of baking and crafting are a plus. However, with Fall comes Winter and that is definitely not my favourite.

Today's card uses the Nature's Harvest Bundle which to me is a total Fall themed bundle. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do other than I wanted to use the DSP. When I am stumped with what to do, I like to do a challenge. This challenge was a sketch challenge that I found on Pinterest.

I started with a Basic White Thick card base. On top of that, I added a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and on top of that, my piece of DSP. The DSP is from the Peaceful Prints package which is a free Sale-a-bration item when you spend $60. This piece of DSP is a perfect example of using a mainly Christmas themed paper in a non-Christmas situation.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out rectangle from a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and added it to my card front using dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I used my Blending Brush to add some Sahara Sand ink. I added it darker in the center of the rectangle and lighter towards the edges, leaving the very edges white. I added a piece of Adhesive Sheets to a piece of Gray Granite cardstock. I then used a die from the Harvest Dies set to cut out the tree image. I like to use the adhesive sheets when I cut out fine or intricate images. It makes it so much easier to adhere the image. I attached my tree to the center of the Sahara Sand ink rectangle. I then wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around this piece 4 times and tied it into a knot. I added this piece to my card front using dimensionals and adhesive.

I stamped my sentiment using Gray Granite ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. The sentiment is from the Nature's Harvest stamp set. I used one of the label dies in the Harvest Dies set to cut out the sentiment piece. I attached it to my card front using dimensionals. I used a double layer of dimensionals on the right edge and a single layer on the left edge where it attached to the tree piece. That completes my card.

What I used for today's card:

Nature's Harvest Bundle

Stitched Rectangle Dies

Basic White Thick Cardstock

Sahara Sand Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Gray Granite Cardstock

Adhesive Sheets

Peaceful Prints DSP

Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad

Gray Granite Classic Stampin' Pad

Linen Thread

Blending Brushes

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. This is a good example of a challenge card and using a traditional paper in a non-traditional way. Have you tried any challenges lately? They are a great way to overcome being stumped.

Stay well and keep creating!

Hand Penned Double Z Fold

Hello my friends! What a beautiful Fall it is. I guess technically Fall doesn't arrive until Wednesday but it is feeling like Fall. We have had some rain but we really need it. Today it is warm and sunny. I'm glad I had to go out to vote or I might not have left the house. I've been busy getting the last minute things ready for our big event this Sunday. I'm so excited, it's going to be so fun! I've been so busy doing event things that I almost forgot to make a card for today's post.....

I decided to make a Double Z fold card and then decided I should use the Beautifully Penned DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog. This DSP is only available as a free item when you spend $60 from any other catalogues. That led me to use one of my favouriteI colour combinations of black and pink.

I started with my card bases of Basic Black. I cut my larger and smaller Z pieces from Basic Black. On the larger Z piece I added a mat of Polished Pink cardstock and on top of that the striped piece of DSP from the Beautifully Penned DSP pack.

On the smaller Z piece, I added a mat of  Polished Pink with a piece of Basic White cardstock for the inside panel. For the front panel, I used a piece of the Polka Dot DSP from the Beautifully Penned DSP pack which I matted on a piece of Polished Pink cardstock. I tied a piece of black baker's twine around this piece and then added it to the front panel of the smaller Z piece. The baker's twine is from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower image from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used the stamps for filling in the image to stamp the flowers and leaves. I used Polished Pink for the flowers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. I used the corresponding die from the Penned Flowers Dies set to cut out the image. I added this to the front panel using dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I used the matching Messages Die to cut out my sentiment and added it to my card front using dimensionals.

Here is a picture of the card opened up to give you a better idea of how it looks:

What I used for today's card:

Hand Penned Petals Bundle

Beautifully Penned DSP

Basic Black Cardstock

Polished Pink Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Polished Pink Classic Stampin' Pad

Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin' Pad

Many Messages Stamp

Messages Die

Baker's Twine Essentials Pack

Thank you so much for popping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I haven't decided who I will be sending it to yet but hopefully the recipient will like it too!

Stay well and keep creating!

Celebrate Sunflowers

 Hello my friends!

Today's card was created for one of the challenges from the Business Expo and Creative Party. There are usually three challenges throughout the day. I was only able to participate in the first one as I had to leave before the other two were posted. This challenge was a colour challenge. Our card had to include white, yellow, orange and black. I should note as well that we only get about half an hour to come up with our challenge cards. Here is the card I came up with....

I used the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. I stamped the larger sunflower on to Bumblebee cardstock and Pale Papaya cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I stamped two sunflowers on the Pale Papaya cardstock. I used the corresponding die from the Sunflower Dies set to cut out my flowers. To create the centers, I used the detailed die from the same set and cut out just the center from Basic Black cardstock. I had to trim off the petals but I am really pleased with how it turned out. I attached these centers to my flowers using adhesive.

I used a Basic White Thick card base. I attached the two Pale Papaya flowers to my card front using adhesive and attached the Bumblebee flower using dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a strip of Basic White cardstock. I used my paper snips to cut a banner end in the left edge of my sentiment piece. I used a piece of Linen Thread wrapped around the sentiment piece and tied it into a bow on the right edge. I attached this to my card using dimensionals.

At this point, I was out of time so I posted my card to the challenge page. The next day I went into my craft room and saw this card sitting on the table. I felt like it needed something else. I decided to add some Matte Black Dots. I feel like that completed the card.

What I used for today's card:

Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp

Sunflower Dies

Beauty of Friendship Stamp

Basic White Thick Cardstock

Pale Papaya Cardstock

Bumblebee Cardstock

Basic Black Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Linen Thread

Matte Black Dots

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I am going to be sending it to a friend who is also a demonstrator. She is having some health issues and has had to step back from her Stampin' Up! business a little. I commend her for coming to such a difficult decision. I just want her to know that I'm thinking of her and hoping she is feeling better soon.

Stay well and keep creating!

Pretty Pumpkins

 Hello my friends!

Wow, what a full weekend it was for me! A few months ago, I signed up to participate in another Business Expo and Creative Party with Allison Okamitsu on Saturday. It is a full day of learning business tips, creating cards and card challenges. Unfortunately I was only able to take part in half of the day as my daughter chose that day to have her gender reveal party. Obviously that took precedent over my learning. I can watch the replay of the presentations I missed. I spent most of Sunday in my craft room prepping for my upcoming Crafting at the Lake Event. That is going to be such a fun day!

Anyways, on to today's post. During the expo we created three cards that were all designed by Allison. We used the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle for all of the cards. This is such a cute bundle. I am looking forward to playing with it some more! The cards Allison designed all use non-traditional pumpkin colours and I love them!

Card #1:

The first card is a simple fun fold. The card base is Crumb Cake and the front panel is smaller than a regular A2 card front. I stamped one of the pumpkin images on the Crumb Cake card base using Crumb Cake ink. I cut out one of the fancy pumpkins using a die from the bundle and Gold Foil Sheets. I added this to the front panel using dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I added a strip of DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP package to the bottom edge of  the sentiment piece. I then cut out the leaves using the dies in the bundle and Soft Succulent cardstock. I attached two of the leaves to peek out at the top left of the sentiment piece and one at the bottom right. I then added the sentiment to the card front using dimensionals. I added a bow using a double strand of Linen Thread to the stem of the gold pumpkin using a glue dot.

On the inside of the card, I added a strip of cork specialty paper and another strip of DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP package. These two pieces are seen even when the card is closed.

Card #2:

The second card uses a Misty Moonlight card base. On top of that I put a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

I cut out the same pumpkin as was on the first card only this time I used Bumblebee cardstock. I stamped the leafy pumpkin using Soft Succulent ink on Soft Succulent cardstock. I cut it out using the corresponding die from the bundle. I also cut out the fillagree pumpkin using Misty Moonlight cardstock with an adhesive sheet attached to the back of it. The adhesive sheets make these intricate die cut images so much easier to adhere. I cut out the leaves from Gold Foil Sheets and attached one to each of the pumpkins. I attached the fancy pumpkins directly to the card front and then added the stamped pumpkin using dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I added a strip of Gold Foil and then a strip of DSP (from the Harvest Meadow DSP package) to the bottom edge of the sentiment piece. I then added this to my card front using dimensionals.

Card #3:

The third card uses a Bumblebee card base. On top of that I added a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I added a strip of DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP package to the bottom edge of the Crumb Cake cardstock.

I added the fillagree pumpkin that I cut out using Bumblebee cardstock with an adhesive sheet attached to it. I stamped the larger leaf images using Soft Succulent ink on Soft Succulent cardstock and cut them out using the corresponding dies. I attached the leaf images together and attached them to the fillagree pumpkin using dimensionals. I tied a bow using the Gold Shimmer Ribbon and attached it to the stem of the pumpkin using a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White label that was punched out using the Label Me Lovely punch. I attached this sentiment piece to the card front using dimensionals.

That completes the three cards. I hope you enjoy them.

What I used for these cards:

Pretty Pumpkins Bundle

Misty Moonlight Cardstock

Crumb Cake Cardstock

Bumblebee Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Soft Succulent Cardstock

Gold Foil Sheets

Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Pad

Soft Succulent Classic Stampin' Pad

Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad

Harvest Meadow DSP

Cork Specialty Paper

Timber 3D Embossing Folder

Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder

Linen Thread

Gold Shimmer Ribbon

Label Me Lovely Punch

Adhesive Sheets

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed these cards. I had a lot of fun making them. Please note that they were all designed by Allison Okamitsu and I just made them as per the instructions from her.

Also, in case you were wondering what the reveal was on Saturday....we are getting a new baby granddaughter!! We are all so very excited. I can't believe that my baby girl is having a baby girl. At least I can start shopping now that I know what colour to buy.

Stay well and keep creating!

Lifetime Celebrations

Hello my friends! I am finally able to take part in another blog hop. I wasn't able to take part for July and August because we were at the lake on both of the days of the blog hop. We don't have internet out there so I didn't want to take the chance in case something went wrong with my post and I wasn't able to correct it. That would not have been fair to the others.

This is the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop hosted by my friend Angie. The theme for this month is Lifetime Celebrations. There are 17 of us taking part this month so I hope you will be able enjoy all of the posts from this month.

This is a perfect theme for me this month. My card is a first anniversary card for my daughter and son-in-law. They got married last September 12th. Their original date was supposed to be May 23rd which was the 10 year anniversary of their first date. Unfortunately due to Covid everything was shut down at that time and they had to pick a new date. It was not easy to plan a wedding at that time. There were many changes along the way which led to a lot of stress for everyone but they got married and it was absolutely beautiful. Now they are expecting their first baby. In fact as this blog is posting, I will be at the gender reveal party discovering whether this little bean is a he or a she. Such an exciting time!

I decided to make a Balcony Card since this is such a special celebration. I started with a card base of Basic White Thick that was 6 X 6 inches and scored at 3 inches. I used Basic White Thick cardstock to make the balcony levels as well.

Here is a picture of the card standing up to give you a better idea of how it looks.

I used the DSP  from the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP pack. I love the varied colours of green with the swirls of gold. I matted the DSP onto Gold Foil Sheets before attaching it to my card.

I stamped various leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set and cut them out using the corresponding dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies set. The colours I used for my leaves are Pear Pizzazz, Just Jade, Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen and Pale Papaya. I also cut out a couple leaf images from vellum. They are kind of hard to see in the picture but they add a little bit of texture to the group. I attached the leaves to their balcony levels using adhesive and then added a strip of scotch tape to make sure they were well adhered.

Here is a close up picture of the leaves showing the vellum images.

At the top part of the card, I added a couple of gold leaf images from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack. I also cut out some butterflies from the Gold Foil using the Brilliant Wings Dies set. I cut out 2 larger filligree butterflies and then one smaller butterfly to represent the new baby.

I used the Always in my Heart stamp set to stamp my sentiment. The sentiment is on one stamp and since I didn't want to cut up my stamp, I had to ink it separately to get the words on two different pieces of cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink on Basic White cardstock. I added gold embossing powder from the Metallics set and heated it to melt it using my heat tool. I used the Banners Pick a Punch to cut a banner cut into both ends of my sentiment pieces. I added these to the lower balcony panels using dimensionals.

This card is a little bigger than our regular A2 size so I used the retired envelope punch board to make an envelope. I used the same piece of DSP that I used on the card from the Expressions in Ink pack. I am really pleased with the way the colours ended up on the finished envelope.

What I used for today's card:

Forever Fern Stamp

Forever Flourishing Dies

Always in my Heart Stamp

Basic White Thick Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Gold Foil Sheets

Expressions in Ink DSP

Vellum Cardstock

Pale Papaya Classic Stampin' Pad

Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad

Mint Macaron Classic Stampin' Pad

Evening Evergreen Classic Stampin' Pad

Versamark Pad

Metallics Embossing Powders

Heat Tool

Banners Pick a Punch

Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack

Brilliant Wings Dies

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I think my daughter will really like it. She loves things that are a little more glitzy than the norm. Have you tried this style of card yet? Apparently it is one of the new styles going around on all of the sites.

Nature's Harvest

Hello my friends! How is your first week of back to school/work? I love this time of year as it feels like a new start. I'm not sure what the new start is for me as I am not heading back to anything. Our weather has been absolutely gorgeous this week. It must be difficult for those that are heading back to school with the weather still feeling like summer.

Today's card was created using the Nature's Harvest stamp set and matching dies. I wanted to make a fall themed card and this one just came together for me.

I started by embossing a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. I added two different pieces of DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP on top of my embossed cardstock. Then I added some linen thread. I wrapped it around this cardstock three times and tied it into a bow.

I added this to a piece of Soft Suede cardstock using dimensionals and then added the Soft Suede cardstock to a Basic White Thick card base.

I stamped the larger flower image onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used the corresponding die from the Harvest Dies set to cut out the flowers. I used my Stampin' Blends to colour in the flowers. I used Mossy Meadow for the leaves and stems and used Soft Suede and Daffodil Delight for the flowers. I added the flower image to the card front using dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment from the Many Messages stamp using Soft Suede ink on Basic White cardstock. I used the smaller label die from the Harvest Dies set to cut out my sentiment and added it to my card front using dimensionals. That completes this card.

What I used for today's card:

Nature's Harvest Stamp

Harvest Dies

Many Messages Stamp

Basic White Thick Cardstock

Soft Suede Cardstock

Crumb Cake Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad

Harvest Meadow DSP

Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder

Linen Thread

Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends

Soft Suede Stampin' Blends

Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I have a few friends with Fall birthdays so one of them will probably receive this one. Will it be you?

Stay well and keep creating!

Nature's Harvest

Hello my friends! I hope you all had a fabulous long weekend! I had a great weekend. I spent Saturday with my youngest daughter. I love spending time with my girls. It doesn't matter what we are doing, it just makes me happy to be with them. Sunday was a cooler, gray kind of day here so I spent the day in my craft room. I have my Crafting at the Lakehouse event coming up at the end of this month so I need to make sure I am ready for it. Monday was another crafting day. I will be taking some time away from the craft room this coming weekend as my daughter and her husband are having a gender reveal party! I will be helping her with the baking, decorating and cooking so I want to make sure I am on top of my own responsibilities. I am so excited to find out what this little bean is!!

I also had a little visitor in my yard on Monday. I went out to the deck to enjoy the gorgeous weather and saw this little guy (or girl) looking for snacks in the grass. I know some people think of them as pests but I think he is pretty cute. He was checking out the grass and then slowly hopped along the back of the yard and disappeared into the yard behind me.

Today's card was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend. We were talking about putting painter's tape on the floor at our crafting event so that everyone will know where the different stations are as well as staying 6 feet apart. That got me thinking that I haven't done the Painter's Tape Technique for ages. I just received the new Nature's Harvest stamp set and thought the flower image would be perfect for this technique.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock that was just a little larger than the image I was going to stamp. I chose the colours I wanted to use which were Bumblebee, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron. I laid a piece of painter's tape across each of the ink pads (one piece of tape for each ink pad) and pressed the tape in to pick up some ink. Starting at the bottom I applied the inked up painter's tape and gently pressed it on my piece of white cardstock. The first colour I used was Bumblebee. Next I added the Daffodil Delight painter's tape and then at the top, So Saffron. The ink has a distinct texture from the tape which adds a little something to your card.

After the ink dried, I stamped my flower image on top of it using Black Stazon ink. I matted this piece on to a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

I added this piece to a piece of Basic White cardstock. I embossed this cardstock using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. (I had to use this embossing folder to go with the painter's tape technique!) I wrapped some Bumblebee Gingham ribbon around this embossed cardstock and tied it into a bow. I biased my bow just below the middle of  card and over to the left side. I attached this to a Bumblebee card base using my Tombo multipurpose glue. I like to use this glue especially if I am attaching an embossed piece or a piece that has a ribbon around it. It is just a little more security that it will all hold well.

I then added my stamped piece to my card using dimensionals. I also added my sentiment to the stamped piece using dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set using Black Stazon ink. I used the corresponding Messages Die to cut out my sentiment. I have had this stamp set for a while but I haven't completely embraced it until now. It is a huge stamp that is the same size as a background stamp. It has 19 different sentiments on one stamp and the corresponding die cuts out these sentiments. The idea is to ink up the entire stamp and cut out all 19 different sentiments at one time and then have a bunch of stamped sentiments on hand for when you are making a card. It is a great idea but that is not the way I craft. I like to stamp my sentiments as I am making my card. I just recently realized that I can ink up the part of the stamp that I want to use and just go with that. I also know of some people that have cut up the stamp so that the sentiments are separate. That is a good idea too but if you do that, you are voiding the warranty for your stamp.

What I used for today's card:

Nature's Harvest Stamp

Many Messages Stamp

Messages Die

Bumblebee Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Basic Black Cardstock

Bumblebee Classic Stampin' Pad

Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad

So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pad

Jet Black Stazon Pad

Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder

Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon

Painter's Tape (from Hardware Store)

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. Have you ever tried this technique? It is a good one and this stamp set was perfect for it. It can sometimes be a little messy, making your fingers inky. I think it's all worth it though and it washes off easily.

Stay safe and keep creating!
