One Happy Family

Hello friends! Hope it is sunny in your world. It has been really foggy here in Kelowna. We've had three days of fog. Not that unusual for us in January but it gets depressing after too many days of it. The sun is supposed to show tomorrow so fingers crossed.....

Today's card was made for my daughter and son-in-law. As you may have seen a few posts back they had their baby girl on the 14th. I made cards for the announcement of pregnancy, the shower, and for the baby but I realized that I hadn't made a card for the parents to congratulate them. I figured they deserved a card for creating this beautiful baby girl.

I decided to use the Amazing Silhouettes stamp again for my image and the One Happy Family stamp for the sentiments. I stamped the butterfly image from Amazing Silhouettes along the left side of a piece of Basic White cardstock using Blushing Bride ink. I stamped the image three times all in a row. I then stamped the sentiments from One Happy Family along the right side using Basic Gray ink. I love the sentiments in this stamp set and they were absolutely perfect for this card.

I matted my stamped piece on a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and then added that to a Basic White Thick card base. To complete my card, I added some Opal Rounds along the right side.

This card is a much simpler card than what I normally do but I felt the sentiments were the most integral part of this card. I chose the butterfly image because I wanted a smaller image that I could repeat. The colours were influenced by the colours in Peyton's nursery. Everything is in a pink, white and gray theme.

What I used for today's card:

One Happy Family Stamp

Amazing Silhouettes Stamp

Basic White Thick Cardstock

Basic Gray Cardstock

Basic White Cardstock

Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad

Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad

Opal Rounds

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I also hope my kids enjoy it. I think they will be happy with it. This little angel was a long time coming and has been loved so much since the moment we found out about her.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
