Hello friends! I hope you are all staying healthy. I had a possible contact with someone who tested positive so I am self monitoring and staying home for 10 days. I feel fine so I'm not concerned. The really sad thing is I have to stay away from my grandbaby. I totally understand it but it is hard to not be able to see her.
Last night we had a Zoom team meeting and did another mystery card stamping. I really love these challenges. We were given dimensions to cut and were to come up with a card. Here is a picture of the mystery card dimensions followed by the card I created.
We weren't told whether the pieces should be cardstock or DSP so I did a little of both.
I started with a Blushing Bride card base. For the two larger pieces I used a piece of Real Red cardstock and on top of that I added a piece of DSP from the Sweet Talk DSP set. I attached this to the card using dimensionals.
For the smaller pieces, I cut up some more DSP. The piece I used is the reverse of the larger piece I placed on the Real Red cardstock. I added these pieces directly to the card front using adhesive.
For my two inch circle piece, I substituted a heart instead. I wanted this card to be a Valentine's card for my older granddaughter, Paisley. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set using Real Red ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I then cut it out using the heart die from Floral Heart Dies set. This heart is actually the inside of the floral heart but it works perfect like this. I added my heart to the center of my card using dimensionals.
To complete the card, I added some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment heart. Paisley loves all of the bling. Actually, she would probably prefer if I added another 20 jewels to her card. She is my "more is better" girl.
What I used for today's card:
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I think Paisley will like it although, like I said before, she would probably prefer a lot more rhinestones on it. This will be the first time that I am making her card very different from her brother's. Being twins, I usually make them very similar cards. For this Valentine's day at least, they will have very different cards.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
