In the Moment

Hello friends! Today's card is the last card of the Make and Takes from the Crafting at the Lake Event. If you have been keeping track, there were a total of 12 cards! That is a lot of cards that everyone was able to make at the event.

Today's card was created by me using the In the Moment stamp set. I chose the image of the lady looking out the window with a cup of tea or coffee. This just makes me happy.

I stamped my image onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Jet Black Staz On ink. I used the same ink to stamp my sentiment in the top right corner of this same piece of cardstock. I then used Watercolor Pencils to colour in the image. I used my Blender Pen to blend the colours so they look more like watercolor painting. I matted this piece onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around it and tied it into a bow.

I used a Basic White Thick card base for this card. On top of this, I added a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. On top of that, I added my stamped and coloured piece using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I had a lot of fun creating it.

Stay well and keep creating!

Amazing Thanks

Hello friends! I hope you are all having a great Spring. It was such a lovely day here on Friday that I decided to go for a walk around the pond to see if the turtles were waking up yet. I wasn't sure when they start to come out of hibernation but as it turns out, it is now. I only saw about a dozen turtles and only larger ones but I was very excited to see them!

Here is a picture of the pond and just a couple turtle pictures. I was very excited to see them.

There are only a few more cards left to share from our Crafting at the Lake Event. Today's beautiful card was created by Susanne. I think I did it as she intended but I may have changed things up a little.

We used the Amazing Thanks Dies. These dies are bundled with the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp set but the dies don't cut anything from the stamp set. Gorgeous stamp set and very useful die set though!

We started with a Petal Pink card base. On top of that we added a piece of Gray Granite cardstock. On top of that we added a piece of DSP from the Sweet Talk DSP pack.

We used the dies to cut out the words from Basic White cardstock and Highland Heather cardstock. The dies cut out the detailed words and also cut out the outlined version of the words. I cut the detailed words from Basic White and the outlined words from Highland Heather.

I adhered the Basic White words to the Highland Heather words and then added them to my card front using dimensionals.

That is the card for today. It is very simple yet gorgeous! The dies stand alone and absolutely make the card beautiful.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I love it!

Stay well and keep creating!

Eden's Garden

Hello friends! Today's card is another one that I designed for our Crafting at the Lake Event. I used the Eden's Garden Bundle for today's card.

I started with a Basic White Thick card base. On top of this I added a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock that I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

I cut out the oblong wreath shape from a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and attached that on top of the Soft Succulent cardstock.

I cut out a tag from a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Tailor Made Tags Dies set. I stamped the larger flower image onto the center of the tag using Soft Succulent ink. I then stamped the smaller leaf image in the four corners of the tag using Crumb Cake ink. I added a piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon through the top hole of the tag and attached the tag to my card front using dimensionals.

I cut out the banner and a leaf sprig from some Gold Foil. I attached the sprig to the top of my card, tucking it slightly under the tag.

I stamped my sentiment from the Art Gallery Stamp set using Crumb Cake ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I attached this to the Gold Foil banner. I attached the banner to the lower part of the tag using dimensionals and adhesive. And that completes the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I really like this bundle so it was easy for me to come up with a card using this set.

Stay well and keep creating!

Slim Sayings

Hello friends! Today's card is another card designed by Susanne for our Crafting at the Lake Event. Just as a note about the event, our next one is going to be on June 26th. For those of you who have been to this event you will definitely want to save the date. There will be more information as the date gets closer but I wanted to give you a heads up so you can make your plans to attend.

Today's card was made with the Slim Sayings Bundle. The dies in this bundle are specially designed to make the larger slim line cards.

We actually had enough supplies (except for card bases) to make three cards! We used the chevron die and cut the chevrons out of three different pieces of cardstock - Smoky Slate, Pool Party and Balmy Blue. We chose one of the "frames" from the three die cuts and attached it to our Basic White Thick card base. Then we added the chevrons into their respectable positions. This was really fun, like doing a very easy puzzle. We could create any pattern we liked. Once we had all of the chevrons stuck down, we added Wink of Stella to one of the colours. I chose to add it to all of the Smoky Slate chevrons.

We stamped the sentiment from the same bundle using Jet Black Staz On ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. Then we cut the individual words up and added them to the card front using dimensionals. I really like the way the words were added in a wavy line rather than just in a straight line.

To complete the card, we added a few dots from the Classic Matte Dots package. I chose two white and one gray dot for my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I really like it and I think I need to get this bundle now.

Stay well and keep creating!

Nuts and Bolts

Hello friends! Today's card is another creation from my friend Susanne for our Crafting at the Lake Event. She used the Nuts and Bolts stamp set.

I think this card was supposed to be a Valentine's card but I didn't need any more Valentines at the time so I didn't put a sentiment on mine. I will add a birthday sentiment and it can be for my grandchildren.

There is a lot going on with this card even though it looks fairly simple. The card base is Gray Granite cardstock and on top of that is a layer of Basic Black. On top of the Basic Black layer is a piece of Basic White with a strip of DSP from the Pattern Party DSP package along the left edge.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock, we stamped two of the robots from the Nuts and Bolts stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. We coloured them using Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut them out. (Susanne is a big fan of fussy cutting!) The Stampin' Blends colours used are Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider and Poppy Parade. We added the robots to the card front using dimensionals.

We also stamped the hearts images randomly on the card front using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured them in using the Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends. Below the robots we added a strip of Basic Black cardstock so the robots aren't floating in mid air. To make the black cardstock more fun, we coloured it using a Wink of Stella. It is probably hard to see in the picture but trust me, it is there.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I think it is really cute and I know that my littles are going to love it.

Stay well and keep creating!
