Hello friends! Here is another card from the Crafting at the Lake Event. This was a card that I created and as you can see, it is a Valentine's Day card. You could change it into a birthday card simply by changing the sentiment if you wanted.
I started with a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock. On top of that I added a piece of Highland Heather cardstock that I embossed using the Gingham Embossing Folder.
I used a piece of DSP from the Sweet Talk DSP pack and matted that with a piece of Highland Heather cardstock. I added this to a larger piece of Pool Party cardstock. I wrapped a piece of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around this piece and tied it into a knot. Then I added this entire piece to my card front using dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Conversations stamp set using Highland Heather ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I trimmed the ends of the strip of cardstock at an angle to give the card some interest. I added my sentiment to the bottom of the Pool Party cardstock using dimensionals.
Again, this was designed to be a Valentine's Day card but you could change the sentiment to whatever you like. Also you could use different DSP to go with whatever sentiment you want to use.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card.
I used this same design but different cardstock and DSP to make a card for my new granddaughter for Valentine's Day. Even though she was only exactly one month old on Valentine's Day, she loved her card. Here is a picture of her card just for fun.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
