Hello Ladybug

Hello friends! Here is another card that I created for the Crafting at the Lake event. This card uses the Hello Ladybug Bundle. Everyone that attended the event received this bundle in their swag bag. They also received a written PDF with instructions so they could make the card at home if they preferred. I am very happy to say that this bundle will be carrying over to the new catalogue.

I started with a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock. On top of that, I added a piece of Real Red cardstock. I then added a piece of black and white checked DSP from the Pattern Party DSP pack that I matted with a piece of Basic White cardstock. I attached this directly to the center of my card front.

With another piece of Basic White cardstock, I cut a circle out using the Layering Circles Dies. On this  I stamped the large leaf from the stamp set using Granny Apple Green ink. I added it to the center of my card front using dimensionals.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped the ladybug. I stamped the body using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamped the wings using Real Red ink. I also stamped the spots using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used the corresponding punch to punch out the wings and body. I attached the wings to the body using adhesive and then attached the ladybug to the circle using dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a small strip of Basic White cardstock. I cut a banner cut in the left edge of the sentiment piece and then added it to the circle using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. This little ladybug makes me think of hot summer days. I am looking forward to those again.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
