Amazing Silhouettes

Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well. I have been very busy in my craft room this week getting the final touches ready for our big Crafting at the Lakehouse Event which is coming up this Sunday. I am really excited to be able to present this event again. I will be sharing the cards from the event after it is over.

Today's card was made for my friend who's son and daughter-in-law had a new baby boy last month. I realized that I made a card for the baby's family but not for the grandparents. They definitely deserve celebrating. Being a grandparent is one of the best things in the world!

I don't have any current baby themed stamps so I had to get creative with this one. Not that there aren't any adorable baby themed stamps in the new catalogue, because there are. I just don't have any.....yet.....

I used the Amazing Silhouettes stamp for my card. I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the butterfly image from the stamp set using Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue and So Saffron inks. I stamped the images off so that the ink would be more subtle.

I added my stamped image piece onto a piece of So Saffron cardstock that I embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder. I then attached this to a card base of Balmy Blue.

I stamped the sentiment onto another piece of Basic White cardstock using Balmy Blue ink. The sentiment is from the One Happy Family stamp set. I cut this out using one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. I think this is going to be a new favourite of mine, it is such a versatile die set!

I used my Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends to colour a piece of white baker's twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. I wrapped this baker's twine into a circle next and attached it to the back of my sentiment piece. I then attached the sentiment to the card front using dimensionals. In the picture, the coloured baker's twine looks really dark compared to the rest of the card. In real life, it is not that dark.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I also hope the grandparents enjoy it. I know they are super excited to go out to meet the new baby.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry
