Biggest Wish

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great summer. It is still pretty hot here in Kelowna but it is now cooling down at night. It's nice to be able to open the windows at night. It was a little loud a few nights this past week with the storms but the rain was lovely!

Today's card was a remake of one that I made while on a Zoom meeting with my friend Susanne's team. I liked the one I made during the meeting but it needed "a little more" so I decided to make it over.

I started with a card base of Parakeet Party cardstock. I used the regular A2 size of 8 1/2  X  5 1/2 but I trimmed one inch from the card front. It makes the back of the card the regular size and the front just a bit smaller.

I added a piece of DSP from the Tea Boutique DSP pack to a piece of Garden Green cardstock and added that to the card front. I added a strip of DSP to the inside of the card so that it shows where the card front ends. The DSP strip is the reverse of the piece I used on the card front.

I stamped my sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set using Garden Green ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I cut it out using a die from the Layering Circles Dies set. I matted this on a piece of Garden Green cardstock that I cut out using a die from the Seasonal Labels Die set. This is a set from last Christmas that carried over to the annual catalogue.

I added my sentiment piece to the card front using dimensionals. To complete the card, I added a few gems from the 2021 - 2023 In Color Jewels. If you know me at all, you know how difficult it is for me to make a card without ribbon. I tried very hard to add ribbon to this card but it was just too busy. As hard as it was, I had to let it go and use only the jewels.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. It is pretty simple but it is a great design to use any DSP you may have.

Stay well and keep creating!

Terry

I had to share a picture of my little angel. I got to spend a day with her last week. I LOVE every day I get to hang out with her. She is eating lunch in this picture and has yogurt all over her face. She really enjoys her food as you can tell by her big smile. She is such a happy little girl!
