Hello friends!
Today's card was made for my very good friend's husband. He had a small heart attack last Friday. I am so impressed with how quickly they got him in and put in some stents and got him fixed up. He was home by Sunday already!
I have seen cards similar to this style on social media but didn't know the measurements. It took me quite a while to figure them out so if you are interested, leave me a comment and I would be happy to send you the measurements.
I started with a card base of Pacific Point. On top of that, I added a piece of Night of Navy cardstock. I chose these colours because I wanted to use this particular piece of DSP from the Sun Prints DSP pack.
I cut my strips of DSP and matted them using Basic White cardstock. I added these strips around the perimeter of the piece of Night of Navy cardstock.
I cut another piece of Basic White cardstock to go in the center of the card front. On this piece, I stamped one of the images from the Forever Fern stamp set using Night of Navy ink. I then stamped the dots stamp from the same set using Pacific Point ink. I added my stamped piece to the center of the card. I am quite happy with how everything lined up so well.
On another small piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped my sentiment using Night of Navy ink. The sentiment is from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set. I matted the sentiment piece using a piece of Pacific Point cardstock and added this to my card front using dimensionals. That completes the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I am so glad that my friend's hubby is doing so well. We are all very grateful for our new Cardiac Clinic here in Kelowna.
Stay well and keep creating!

Here are a few pictures from our time at Christina Lake. The picture of me golfing was my amazing shot that landed right by the hole. I got it in and got a birdie on that hole. That game was a really good one for both of us. We played again during our week and it went horribly. I will choose to remember the first game only.
The sliver moon was taken one evening when we went for our walk. It was too hot during the day so we had to wait until early evening.
The picture of the lake was taken from the viewpoint on the highway out of town. We went into Trail to visit Doug's auntie one day so we stopped to take this on the way home.
