Hello friends! I hope you ae all doing well. I was talking to a friend on the phone the other day and discovered that she is having a pretty difficult time right now. She has had quite a lot going on and was feeling pretty down. I felt really bad because I kept meaning to call but kept getting busy with life and put it off. It made me realize that I need to be better at keeping in touch. I know that the phone works both ways but I also know that when you are feeling low, you tend to not reach out to those that you know will do anything for you.
So I made a card for this friend. I hope she knows that it is full of caring.
I decided to use the Splendid Thoughts Bundle. The reason I chose this is because the ribbon that goes with this suite is so pretty that I needed to use it. You know how I am with ribbon!
I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped a background using the different stamps from the set. I used Soft Sea Foam ink to stamp the different plants; I used Sahara Sand to stamp the little bee and I used Petal Pink to stamp the dots. The dots are a stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set while all of the other stamps are from the Splendid Thoughts Bundle.
I then cut out three of the different leaf dies using cardstock with adhesive sheets attached. I used Soft Sea Foam for the larger leaf, Sahara Sand for the medium sized leaf and Petal Pink for the smaller leaf. I attached these to a piece of Vellum. I then attached the Vellum to my background stamped piece. I matted this with a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. I tied a piece of the beautiful Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon around this and tied it into a knot.
I used a Basic White Thick card base and on top of that I added a layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. I added my above layers to this using dimensionals.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped my sentiment using Sahara Sand ink. I used a banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set and cut it out. I added this to the card front using dimensionals.
That completes my card. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I hope it brings a bit of joy to my friend.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
