Hello friends! So I decided after my last card that I should probably use this stamp set to make an actual Christmas card. Even though it is still pretty hot here, I thought I would do a similar card but with a Christmas theme.
I used the Christmas Season stamp set again, however I used different stamps from the set.
I started by stamping the smaller pinecone stamp on a piece of Basic White cardstock. It is a two step stamp which means it is stamped in two layers to get the full detail of the stamp. I stamped the first layer using Crumb Cake ink and the second layer using Early Espresso ink. I then stamped the pine boughs using Garden Green ink. I stamped the same dots that I used on the previous card but this time I used Real Red ink that I stamped off once.
I matted this stamped piece on a piece of Real Red cardstock. I matted this on a piece of Garden Green and then added all of these to a Crumb Cake card base.
I stamped my sentiment on a strip of Basic White cardstock using Early Espresso ink. The sentiment was from the Christmas to Remember stamp set. I used the Banners Pick a Punch to punch a banner to both edges of the sentiment strip. I matted this onto a piece of Real Red cardstock that I also punched using the same punch to create banner edges.
I made a small "nest'" using the silver trim from the Simply Elegant Trim package. I added this to the back of my sentiment strip and attached it to my card using dimensionals. I initially left this off but I am much happier with it there.
