Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well. It has been absolutely beautiful here. I'm so thankful for this weather. The Farmer's Almanac says we are supposed to have an early, cold and snowy winter. I'll take this over that any day.
Today's card was created for a colour challenge for my friend Susanne's team group. They invited me to take part in their challenge so I couldn't very well say no. The challenge was to use Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Smoky Slate.
I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock. I inked up a C Block with Pool Party ink and stamped it onto my cardstock after spraying it with a Stampin' Spritzer filled with water. This creates a block of colour on the cardstock. I repeated this procedure with Pear Pizzazz ink and then Smoky Slate ink. I let this dry for a while.
Once the colour blocks were dry, I stamped the flower image from the Colour & Contour stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I stamped the flower in each of the colour blocks. I then stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set.
I matted my stamped cardstock on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then added it to a Smoky Slate card base.
To complete my card, I added some Basic Pearls that I coloured using Pool Party Stampin' Blends.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I feel pretty honored that the team asked me to be part of their challenge.
Stay well and keep creating!
