Forever Fern

Hello friends! This has been a really busy week for me. I've been getting ready for our crafting at the Lakehouse event. It is going to be so much fun! If you didn't get to go this time, you will definitely want to try to make it to the next one in January.

I unfortunately needed to make another sympathy card. A friend's Dad passed away last week. He had been going downhill the past few months so it was not a huge surprise. It is always a difficult time though.

I used one of my favourite stamp sets, Forever Fern. It is such a versatile set and can be used for almost any occasion.

I went with a fairly simple design for this one. I stamped three of the different leaf images on some Basic White cardstock using Soft Succulent ink. I stamped the smaller leaf twice. I matted these images using some Soft Succulent cardstock.

I stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner of a piece of Basic White cardstock using Basic Gray ink. The sentiment is from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set. This is another really versatile set as it has many different sentiments. I wrapped a piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon across the cardstock and using another piece of ribbon, tied a faux knot. I added the three images above the ribbon using dimensionals. I added this whole card front to a Soft Succulent card base.

That completes my card. I hope it brings some comfort to our friends.

Stay well and keep creating!
