Hello friends! What beautiful weather we are having! This is just like early summer weather. I truly love it!
Today's card was made for a friend. She loaned me some books on gardening months ago. I looked through them right away and made notes of what I would like to plant. Unfortunately, when I got my flowerbed area cleaned up and rebuilt, it was too late to find all of the pretty plants I wanted. Being me, I put the books on the shelf to return to my friend and even though I have seen her many times, I keep forgetting to return the books to her.
I used the Season of Chic bundle and coordinating DSP for this card. I love this set and paper!
I started with one of the gorgeous papers from the Texture Chic DSP and matted it with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock. I added this directly to a Petal Pink card base.
I used another piece of DSP from this set and matted it with Early Espresso cardstock as well. I added this to my card front using dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the splotch image all over using Petal Pink ink. Over top of that, I stamped my sentiment using Early Espresso ink. The sentiment is from the Shaded Summer stamp set. I then cut out my image using one of the stitched circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. I matted this onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock that I cut out using the Layering Circles Dies. I added this to my card front using dimensionals. Below my sentiment, I added a bow that I tied using the Early Espresso Faux Suede Ribbon. I attached it using glue dots.
To complete my card, I added a couple of leaves that I cut out using Petal Pink cardstock and Gold Foil. I added these under the sentiment piece.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy this card. I hope my friend will forgive me for holding her books hostage for such a long time!
Stay well and keep creating!
