Christmas Barn Bundle

Hi friends! Happy Halloween! We are going to be going up to spend the evening with our granddaughter. This will be her first Halloween so we can't miss it. I will share pictures of her in the next post. She is going to be so cute!

So on to today's card. This is the sixth card in the Crafting at the Lakehouse Series. It is another one I designed.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock that I cut out using the Deckled Rectangle dies. I used a Blending Brush and added Pool Party ink around the outer edges of the rectangle. I then stamped the tree image four times in the center of the rectangle. I matted this piece with a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock that I cut out using the next larger size of Deckled Rectangle dies. I added these to a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the barn image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the wreath image using Shaded Spruce ink. I stamped the sentiment on another piece of Basic White cardstock using Early Espresso ink. I used the corresponding dies to cut out these stamped images. I coloured the barn using Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends and the Natural Tones 200 Stampin' Blends. I coloured the bow on the wreath using Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends. I used a Pool Party Stampin' Blends to outline the barn and the lines on the snow.

I added the barn and sentiment to the card front using dimensionals. I attached the wreath to the barn using adhesive. I used the die from the bundle to cut out the sign from a small piece of Early Espresso cardstock. I attached this to my card front using adhesive.

That completes this card. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this one.

Stay well and keep creating!

Jingle, Jingle, Jingle

Hi friends! Is it ever feeling more and more like Fall here! I know we have been spoiled with such fabulous extended warm weather this Fall but this has been a bit of a shock. I know we desperately need the rain but I could honestly have kept the warm, sunny weather forever.

This is card #5 in the Crafting at the Lakehouse Series. This card was designed by Susanne. I love how it uses nontraditional colours and is so whimsical.

I started by attaching my piece of DSP to a piece of Parakeet Party cardstock. The DSP is from the Celebrate Everything pack. I then attached this to my Basic White Thick card base.

On a strip of Parakeet Party cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink. I added White Embossing Powder and heated it to melt using my heat tool. The white embossing powder is from the Basics Embossing Powder pack. I added the sentiment piece to the card front using dimensionals.

To complete the card, I stamped the ornament three times using Parakeet Party ink. I added the bows to the ornaments using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. As I said, I think it's really whimsical.

Stay well and keep creating!

Snowman Magic Bundle

Hello friends! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty interesting. I am doing an On Line Elite Retreat so I was working on that. It is going to be so much fun! Now, on to today's card. This is the fourth card in the Lakehouse Series. It is one of my creations and I think it is one of my favourites from this series.

I started by cutting the large frame die from the bundle out of a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock. I laid this frame over top of a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped my sentiment using Night of Navy ink. I needed to have the frame there so I would know where to stamp my sentiment. I set this piece aside and continued working on the frame piece. I attached a piece of Window Sheet to the back of the Balmy Blue frame piece. I then added some Foam Adhesive Strips. The strips were added all the way around the frame. I removed the backing paper from the strips and added my Effervescent Elements to the center of the frame. I added the Basic White cardstock that I stamped my sentiment on. This completes the shaker portion of the card.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped the elements to build my snowman. I stamped the snowman using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used the same ink to stamp his hat and his face. I used Early Espresso ink to stamp his stick arms and Balmy Blue ink to stamp his scarf. I then used the corresponding dies to cut these images out. I used a Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends to colour his carrot nose. I put my snowman together using adhesive and attached him to the lower left corner of the card front using adhesive.

I attached this entire shaker portion of the card to a Balmy Blue card base and that completes the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I really like how it turned out.

Stay well and keep creating!

Window Wishes

Hello friends! Hope you are all well. We had our first day of Fall-ish weather today. It felt kind of strange after all of the sunny days we've had.

Today's card is number three in the Lakehouse series. This card was designed by Susanne and she used the Window Wishes stamp set.

I started by adding some Masking Paper to the lower part of a piece of Basic White cardstock. I used a Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue in to the top portion of the cardstock. This created a hill and a distinct line between the snow and the sky.

I stamped the house image on the hill using Starry Sky ink. I then stamped the roof on the house using Early Espresso ink. Since these are photopolymer stamps, it was pretty easy to line up the roof with the house. Then I stamped the tree images - the double trees on the right side of the house and the single tree on the left side, using Shaded Spruce ink. I stamped the sentiment using Starry Sky ink.

I matted the stamped piece on a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and then added this to a card base of Starry Sky.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. It is a fairly simple design but I think it is super cute.

Stay well and keep creating!
