Aspen Tree Dies

Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well with all of this snow. We have received quite a bit this year already and it is going to get cold. Hopefully if it gets really cold, it will mean the sun will also shine. We haven't seen the sun for weeks.

Today's card has a sun peeking out on it. I used the Aspen Trees Dies. I started with a card base of Basic White Thick. I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut out a circle from a piece of Masking Paper. I laid the masking paper on the card front placing it where I wanted the sun to be. Using the Blending Brushes, I added Balmy Blue ink for the sky and Soft Succulent and Soft Suede for the ground. I then removed the masking paper and added Daffodil Delight ink in the circle to create a sun.

I cut the Aspen Tree Die from a piece of Basic White cardstock. I used a sponge dauber to add some Smoky Slate ink to the trees. I then added this piece to the card front using many dimensionals.

I used the leaf dies from the same set to cut out some leaves from some Brushed Metallic cardstock. I added these to the trees using adhesive.

On a small piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink. I added gold embossing powder from the Metallics collection and heated it to melt using my heat tool.  The sentiment is from the Very Best Occasions Stamp set. I punched out my sentiment using the scalloped oval from the Double Oval Punch. I added the sentiment to my card using dimensionals.

To complete my card I added a bow that I tied using the Natural Woven Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I will be sending it to a team member that is going through a tough time.

Stay well and keep creating!

Beauty of Friendship

Hello friends! I hope you enjoyed the Crafting at the Lakehouse series. I love sharing these cards with you.

Today's card is one that I made a while ago as a birthday card for both hubby and my son-in-law. They got exactly the same card this year  because I was running out of time and didn't know what to make as a second card.

I started by stamping the tree trunk image from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. To stamp the leaves, I used the Baby Wipe Technique again. I added drops of re-inker to a baby wipe on a small plate and used that as my stamp pad. The colours I used are Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry. After I stamped the multicoloured image, I added a layer of leaves using Pumpkin Pie ink. The leaves are a two part stamp. I matted this stamped image onto a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and then another mat of Soft Suede cardstock. I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around this three times and tied it into a knot.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner using Soft Suede ink. The sentiment is from the Cottage Rose stamp set. Once the ink dried, I embossed that piece using the Timber 3D embossing folder. I matted this with a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and added it to a Soft Suede card base.

I added my tree image to the card front using dimensionals and that completes the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. The boys liked it, well as much as they like cards.

Stay well and keep creating!

North Pole Mischief

Hello friends! Well this is the final card in the Crafting at the Lakehouse series. This is a card I designed and it uses the North Pole Mischief stamp set. I found this such a cute set and as a crazy cat lady, it is perfect for me.

I started with a small piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the mistletoe cat image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I cut this out using a Stitched Rectangle Die. I then stamped the "Merry Merry" sentiment in the top right corner using the same black ink. I then coloured in the images using Stampin' Blends. I used Crumb Cake for the cat, Shaded Spruce for the mistletoe, Real Red for the berries, Pale Papaya for the fish, Ivory for the sand in the fish bowl, Pool Party for the water and Smoky Slate for the stand the fish bowl is sitting on.

On another small piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my other sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I cut this piece out using a stitched banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

I added a strip of DSP from the Gingham Cottage DSP pack to a piece of Real Red cardstock. I tied a piece of white Baker's twine around this piece and tied it into a bow. The white Baker's twine is from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. I added this piece to a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock. I then added my coloured image and sentiment piece to the card front using dimensionals. That completes this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this one.

Stay well and keep creating!

Sweet Gingerbread Bundle

Hello friends! Hope you are all doing well. I am doing great! I got to spend the day with my granddaughter the other day. I love when I get to hang out with her. She is such a joy! A couple of months ago I was looking in the very back, dark corner of the storage room under the stairs. I was going to help my daughter can some pears so I had to find the canning jars. While I was down there with the spiders, I found a couple of boxes of toys and books that I had put away from when my girls were little. One of the items in those boxes was a little doll that I had given to my daughter on her first birthday. She washed it up and gave it to her daughter and she LOVES it. It makes my heart so happy. I will share a couple of pictures of her loving her doll at the end of this post. I did share this on Facebook but not all of you are on there.

Today's card is #11 in the Crafting at the Lakehouse series. This is another of Susanne's designs. I think this is my favourite of her cards. She went all out on this one!

This is a step card. The card base is Blushing Bride cardstock. I stamped the sentiments from the Sweet Gingerbread Bundle onto some pieces of Basic White cardstock using Early Espresso ink. I attached the long strip to the front step and the other one to the back step. On the middle step, I attached the Basic White piece with no stamping on it.

On the front panel of the card, I attached a piece of Snowflake Specialty vellum. I used the piece with the flocked dots. This vellum is so gorgeous! On top of the vellum, I added the fence that I cut from a piece of Basic White cardstock with a piece of Adhesive sheet attached to it.

On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the gingerbread house using Crumb Cake ink, I added the outlines using Early Espresso ink. I cut out the gingerbread house using the corresponding die from the bundle. I stamped the gum drops, heart and lollipops using Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Old Olive ink. I stamped the windows using Pale Papaya ink and the door using Polished Pink ink. I used the corresponding dies to cut out the gum drops, heart and lollipops.  I also used the tree die to cut out the trees from some Old Olive cardstock. I cut out the awning piece from some Basic White cardstock.

I added Wink of Stella to the gingerbread house and then put it together by adding the awning, gum drops and the heart to the front of the house. I added the gingerbread house to the front panel using dimensionals.

I added Wink of Stella to the trees and added them to the step panels. I also added the gum drops and lollipops randomly all over the card.

This is such a cute card! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card.

Stay well and keep creating!
