Hello friends! What a difference in our weather this week. It is above zero today and everything is melting. It's been ages since it was above zero. There is going to be a lot of flooding because all of the storm drains are full of snow and ice so the water has nowhere to go. It is nice to have the warmer weather but this could be bad.
This is a good time to spend in the craft room. I had to make a get well card for a team member. Unfortunately one of the gals on my team is sick so of course I will be sending her a card.
I decided to use the Splendid Thoughts Bundle. I started by stamping the larger leaf image on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Soft Sea Foam ink stamped off once. I repeatedly stamped the image all over the piece of cardstock. I then matted this piece onto a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock and added this to a card base of Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
I cut out the half circle image from a piece of Gray Granite cardstock using the die from the bundle. I attached this to my card front using adhesive. I then cut out various leaf images using the dies from the bundle and different cardstocks. I used Vellum, Granny Apple Green, Soft Sea Foam, Gray Granite and Basic White cardstock for the leaf images. I added these leaf images and tucked them into the half circle. I also added a bow that I tied using the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Gray Granite ink. I then cut it out using a stitched banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I added the sentiment with dimensionals.
To complete the card, I added some Brass Butterflies.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I hope my team member enjoys it and feels better soon.
Stay well and keep creating!
Terry
