Something Fancy Bundle

Hi friends! Well I am a day late putting in this post. I was pretty tired yesterday after our big Crafting at the Lake event. It was another amazing day! I feel like we get it better every time and this one was the best yet. Everyone enjoyed the cards, the food and the atmosphere. That's exactly what we are hoping for. Next one is May 28th so if you are thinking about attending, put it on your calendar. I have a feeling that it will sell out quickly!

Today's card is the second one that I will be sharing with my friend's daughter and her friends. Again, I wanted to keep it fairly simple as they are all new to stamping.

I used the Dainty Flowers DSP as a major part of this card. It is a Sale-a-Bration item and is available for free with a $60 order.

I started with a card base of Mossy Meadow. On top of this I added the Blushing Bride flower DSP from the pack.

I used a second piece of DSP from this pack and matted it with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock. I added this to the card front with dimensionals.

On a small piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Mossy Meadow ink. The sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp and I cut it out using one of the dies from the bundle.

To complete my card, I added a few Opal Rounds for bling.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope the girls will enjoy it.

Stay well and keep creating!

Country Bouquet

Hello friends! It has been so busy yet fun in my world. I am on my third week of watching my sweet little granddaughter three days a week. It's taken a while for me to figure out a schedule with my card business and making sure she is priority one on her days. I think she is loving having her Nana to play with. She gets really torn at the end of the day.  She is so happy that Mom is home from work but she cries when I leave because she doesn't want me to go. What a sweetie!

So today's card was designed for a class for my friend's daughter and her friends. We got together in December to do a painting craft and the gals decided that we needed to do another craft night. My friend's daughter suggested doing a card night so of course I jumped at the opportunity. We will be doing a Valentine's card and a birthday card. Maybe we'll do another card night another time.

I started with a card base of Sahara Sand. I cut down the front so it was only a half panel. I added a strip of DSP from the Country Gingham DSP pack to the front panel.

On a square of Basic White cardstock I stamped the two-step heart image stamp from the Country Bouquet stamp set. I stamped the image with the leaves first using Mint Macaron ink. I then stamped the flower/heart image using Sweet Sorbet ink. The stamp is designed to line up perfectly and since it is photopolymer it is easy to match it up. I matted this onto a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock and then matted this onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. I added this to the card front panel.

On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment using Sweet Sorbet ink. I cut a banner cut into both edges of my sentiment piece and then added it to the card front using dimensionals.

To complete my card, I added a bow that I tied using a double layer of Linen Thread. I added it to the top of the heart using a mini glue dot. I also added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. I also hope the gals enjoy it when we have our class. I didn't want to make the card too detailed as some of them are first time stampers.

Stay well and keep creating!

Dainty Delight Bundle

 Hello friends!

Today's card was made for our neighbours across the street. They moved in when our kids were still in elementary school. Now, all of the kids are grown up and married with their own children. They have been amazing neighbours but they have just sold their house and are moving away. They want to move to a smaller town since Kelowna is getting so big and busy. I don't blame them for that but I still can't leave Kelowna.

I had to use the Dainty Delight Bundle again. I love this set and I really hope it carries over into the annual catalogue this year. I started by stamping the flower image onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Black Staz On ink. I used the corresponding die to cut it out. I then used my Water Painter and ink pads to colour the image. I used Granny Apple Green for the leaves and Petal Pink for the flowers. I added Daffodil Delight to the centers of the larger flowers.

I added my flower image to an oval that I cut out of a piece of Vellum. I used the larger oval from the Framed Florets Dies set. I added this to a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. I added the embossed piece to a card base of Petal Pink cardstock.

On a small strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used this ink because the stamp I used, Friends are Like Seashells, is a photopolymer stamp and I don't like to use Staz On ink on photopolymer stamps. It makes the stamps really sticky and gooey so I don't imagine it is very good for them. I cut a banner cut into both sides of my sentiment piece and then added it to the front of my card using dimensionals.

To complete the card, I added a few Chanpagne Rhinestones. I hope our neighbours like this card. We are really going to miss them. I wish them all the best in their new place!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this card.

Stay well and keep creating!

Dainty Delight Stamp

Hello friends! I have finally sorted out the pictures from Peyton's first birthday party. See them at the end of this post. Spoiler alert, she is really adorable!

Today's card features the new Dainty Delight stamp set. This is such a pretty floral stamp set with very positive sentiments.

I stamped the largest floral image onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I cut out my image using one of the dies from the Scalloped Contour Dies set. I then coloured my image using Stampin' Blends. The colours I used are Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Orchid Oasis.

I matted this piece onto a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock that I cut using the largest die from the Scalloped Contour Dies set. I wrapped my ribbon around these two pieces and tied it into a knot. The ribbon I used is the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon that I coloured using the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends marker. I wove my ribbon through the scalloped holes on the sides of the cardstock. I added this all to a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock.

I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I cut around the words using my scissors and then added the sentiment to the card front using dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. At the moment, I don't have a specific person in mind to send it to but I'm sure there will be someone.

Stay well and keep creating!
