Hello friends! Unfortunately I needed to make another sympathy card over the holidays. Not a card I ever enjoy making but during the holidays and for such a sweet friend was a real challenge for me. I wanted to make something nice but kept it fairly simple as it was just too hard to do.
I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped the "H" Block onto it. I inked up the entire surface of the block using Soft Sea Foam ink and then spritzed it with water using a Stampin' Spritzer. I then placed the block onto my cardstock to add the ink to the page. Once this was dry, I stamped this gorgeous leaf image from the new Decorative Borders stamp. I used Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the image. After the ink was dry, I embossed the cardstock using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I added this piece to a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped my sentiment using Mossy Meadow ink. The sentiment is from the Very Best Occasions stamp set. I used one of the stitched banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out my sentiment.
I also cut out three leaves from the small leaf die in the Framed Florets Dies set. I cut two leaves in Soft Sea Foam cardstock and one in Basic White cardstock. I added these to my card front using adhesive and then added my sentiment over top of them using dimensionals.
